Mercy’s POV:

It’s been five days.

FIVE DAYS AND I’M ALREADY SICK OF THEM.

Ringo is still sick, all the other three do is draw and talk, they don’t do anything interesting. I mean, it’s not like I expected them to cozy up to the idea straightaway, but it would’ve been nice.

I got ready for the day, and thought to myself of what I was going to do tomorrow.

Brian’s POV:

I woke up on the morning of the sixth day, and I got a feeling that told me “whatever you do, don’t go out today.”

I of course ignored the feeling, and got ready for the day. My first stop in the morning, these past mornings, was the police station. I walked in as if it was a normal thing now.

They didn’t know where to look. They had a prime suspect, a woman named Mercy, but they said they searched her house and didn’t find anything. I walked over and sat next to the investigators on the case.

The day consisted of them trying to dig up anything they could, me getting lunch and bringing it, and small talk. It got late really fast, and so I left the station.

I decided “Hey, why not get a bite to eat before I go home?” I started walking to the nearest café. I walked in, and saw it was near closing time. A waitress was wiping down the tables.

“Excuse me, is this café closed?” I asked her. She looked up and smiled.

“Not yet, there’s still ten minutes left. What can I get you?”

I thought about it for a while. “Maybe just a tea would be nice, and a sandwich.”

“Coming right up!” she said. I sat down at one of the tables as she made me my order. She gave it to me and she finished cleaning. She turned to her co-worker and asked “Calvin, do you mind locking up?” He shook his head and she smiled. She went to the backroom as I finished what I was eating.

By the time I left, she was standing by her car, a sad look on her face. She looked at me and sighed. “Could you help me?” she asked.

“Of course,” I said, nearing her.

“My car’s battery just went out, and I’d really love a ride home. Do you mind at all?”

I was silent for a while. She was a nice girl, and she looked clean enough. She was just wearing a regular hoodie and some jeans. “I understand if you don’t,” she said, looking down at her feet. This girl couldn’t be older than 23!

“I’ll give you a ride home,” I agreed. She smiled and she followed me while I walked to my car, which I parked by the police department. If I was smart, I would’ve noticed she got uneasy as we neared the building. I unlocked the passenger side of my car and she got in.

“Now, where do you live?” She gave me directions, and I found out that she lived two miles away from the café. She could’ve easily walked home, but I didn’t complain. I actually decided to ask “Why don’t you just walk to work every day?”

“Oh, about that,” she began. I rose an eyebrow. “I do walk to work. Surprise Brian.” She moved fast and I didn’t have any time to react.

Mercy’s POV:

Holy shit I was messy.

When he walked into that café, I saw an opportunity and I took it. This time, I’ll drag Brian in and dispose of his car. I won’t be messy with cars this time.

I dragged him in my house fast. Since he’s a bit of an older man, he’ll stay out longer. Thank god for that.

I went upstairs and grabbed my pistol hurriedly, opened my trapdoor and grabbed my key rings. I dragged Brian down the stairs with me.

Once I got down there, all three looked up and reacted in horror when they saw Brian. “You took Eppy?!” John yelled. I held my pistol to Brian’s head.

“Yes, as a matter of fact I did. Now get in the bathroom or ‘Eppy’ gets a bullet through the brain.” I told them. They went in there fast and I threw Brian in after unlocking and relocking the doors. I then told them it was all clear. They ran up to Brian and smacked his face a little. “Wake up!” Paul shouted.

Finally, Brian slowly opened his eyes. He reacted in horror as a single word escaped his lips.

“Boys?!”
