"I'm just the worst kind of guy to argue with what you might find, and for the last night I lie could I lie with you?"
-The Jetset Life is Gonna Kill You - My Chemical Romance

Harry's POV

"Ow, fuck." I hissed. The sting of the antiseptic spray made my nose burn and my eyes water.

"I can't believe you managed to get grazed, dumbass." Niall laughs sitting at desk set up by my bed. He had his arms crossed as he spun around in the chair slightly. I rolled my eyes before shutting them tightly again in pain.

Liam was knelt beside me, cleaning up the fresh wound I had just got hours before during one of our more interesting assignments.

"Yeah because I went in with the intention of getting -ugh- shot." I muttered in pain as I felt more pressure being applied.

"This is a lot worse than when I was grazed a while back." Liam speaks furrowing his brows looking at the spot on my side. "A lot more blood. Must have hit you a little deeper." He looks up at me.

Before I could say anything we heard the sound of the doorbell ringing. All of our eyes snapped over to the computer sat at my desk. On the screen were the cameras pointed at the front door. Niall leaned in with his arms still crossed trying to get a better look.

"Who is it?" I ask.

"I dunno. Some chick, she's turned around like she's looking at the driveway. Can't see her face." He responds watching closely.

"Oh fuck. I forgot I told Ruby to come over." I look over at the screen and watch her look back to the driveway. I'm sure someone gave her a ride here.

"Who's Ruby?" Liam asks.

"Not important. You guys need to leave. I don't want her seeing two busted up random men and getting scared away. It's been awhile since I've been able to see her anyway."

"Oh she's just some girl he's fucking. Haven't you wondered why he's so at peace lately. Gettin' laid and gettin' paid. Can't get much better than that." Niall responds. He laughs standing up from the chair.

"Yeah not quite." I whisper under my breath rolling my eyes at his favorite thing to say.

"What? Giving but not getting Haz? Poor boy. Must be something then for you to still stick around." He laughs again and I shake my head at him. I know in the past I've not really had the best track record with women but there was just something so compelling about Ruby. I think it's her eyes. They were the first thing I noticed about her. She didn't even have to be looking right at me and I could still feel completely entranced.

"We just keep getting interrupted." I pinch the bridge of my nose. We're all cut off from hearing the gentle sound of the front door shutting.

"Harry?"

I can hear her call out from downstairs.

"Fuck. Go somewhere. I'll get her out in a second and we can finish this up." I look between both of them.

"Harry you're literally bleeding out we need to finish up right now." Liam protests watching me cover myself up with the comforter on my bed.

"It's fine just," I'm cut off by a knock at the door. My eyes snap to theirs as I quickly nod my head in the direction of the bathroom attached to my room. The quickly and quietly obey, knowing I'd probably jump out of bed in my condition and shove them in there anyway

I lay back and watch as the door to my room slowly opens.

"Harry?" She asks as she steps in. "Hey." She smiled. "I'm sorry I came right in."
