Today we gathered at the training room with Aizawa sensei for practice. He explained that we were going to be testing how far our quirks can go so we learn how to control them a bit better for when the sports festival comes around.
"I want everyone to individually fight against (y/n)." Sensei said while facing my direction.
"M-me?!" I asked. My palms immediately got drenched in sweat.
Aizawa continued, "I'll have you fight her while she uses your quirk against you. Essentially, you'll have to beat yourself in order to improve."
Everyone looked at me confused as sensei told me to stand next to him. "Bakugo, you're up first." Bakugo stepped forward with a maniacal grin on his face. "Before you begin, explain to (y/n) how your quirk works." After a few retorts, Bakugo finally explained his quirk to me.
"Like this?" I asked, and shot fire out of my palm.
"You quirk-stealing bastard." Bakugo scoffed.
"Ah... I thought we were finally becoming friends. You're so mean, Kacchan." I attempted to lighten the mood as I anxiously waited for Aizawa sensei's signal.
"Start."
Bakugo and I started to fiercely attack each other until Bakugo had to catch his breath. This gave me a opening to slam him on the ground, declaring my victory.
"Good." Sensei said. "Tokoyami you're up." Before having to repeat himself again, Tokoyami explained his quirk to me.
"So then," a replica of Dark Shadow sprouted out of my back, "this is what you use?"
It's hard to control.
Tokoyami sprouted Dark Shadow from his back and waited for sensei to announce the start of the battle, but Dark Shadow had other plans. Against Tokoyami's will, Dark Shadow quickly and excitedly approached me and started to nuzzle my cheek. Flustered by his actions, I instantly blushed and stayed frozen in place.
Why...?
"Dark Shadow!" Tokoyami said sternly and Dark Shadow returned to his side with what looked like a sad expression.

- - -

Why'd you do that?!
I fell in love with her at first sight.
Don't say such nonsense.

- - -

Aizawa sensei sighed. "Start."
Tokoyami and I began attacking each other with our Dark Shadows. I dodged his attacks while coming up with a plan.
Analyzing the situation, I realized that Tokoyami wasn't one for close-up combat. Using my replica of Dark Shadow, I made a diversion to keep Dark Shadow occupied. I swiftly got to pin Tokoyami down, holding his hands above his head with my own.
"I'm sorry." I apologized as I got off of Tokoyami, and pulled him up to his feet. "You're really strong." I smiled.
"She took two of our strongest teammates down so far." Midoriya whispered to Iida and Uraraka. "She's amazing."
I continued to battle my classmates with a few breaks in between. First it was Bakugo, Tokoyami, Uraraka, Koda, and Tsuyu. After the first break it was Shoji, Mina, Kaminari, Yaoyozuru, and Jiro. Then it was Todoroki, Iida, Sero, Sato, and Ojiro. Finally, I battled against Kirishima, Aoyama, Mineta, and Midoriya.

-

I held Midoriya to the ground as I yelled "Finished!" To Aizawa sensei. I helped Midoriya up and said, "I can see why you always bust your arms, your quirk needs a lot of self control." I looked down at my bruised arms.
"I'm sorry. You should probably go to Recovery Girl for that." Midoriya smiled nervously, pointing to my light purple arms with his broken finger.
"It's okay!" I smiled.
Midoriya started to walk off while I pondered about my next action.
"Midoriya." I caught his attention and put my hands out like I was waving with both hands. "Hold your hands like this." I demonstrated. Midoriya hesitantly did as he was told and I intertwined my fingers with his.
"HUH?!" The class yelled in unison as Midoriya attempted to pull his hands back from my own.
"Wait." I said, not taking my eyes off of Midoriya's arms. After a few seconds, his arms started to heal. "Good as new." I smiled as everyone looked at me surprised.
"No one else has serious injuries right?" I asked as I looked at my classmates. They all said no, so I bid them farewell for now.
Everyone started to head back to the classroom but I stayed behind for a few seconds to catch my breath. I panted heavily, trying to control my breathing with every breath I took. As I attempted to step forward, my body threatened to pass out and my body leaned forward. Surprisingly, someone caught me before I fell, and that someone was Tokoyami.
"Are you okay?" He asked me as he helped me regain my balance.
"Yeah I'm fine." I smiled. "I just got a little light headed from all the fighting." I tried to walk on my own again but stumbled before my foot fully hit the ground. Again, Tokoyami caught me and put my arm around his neck.
"I'll take you to the nurse's office." He said as we started to walk. I threatened to pass out at any moment, stumbling with every step but Tokoyami firmly held onto my hand and my waist.

- - -

She has amazing endurance, and an amazing quirk to say the least. Although, the side effects of quirks can be tough to deal with.
I walked (y/n) to Recovery Girl, making sure I held her tight enough so she couldn't fall.
I can't believe I'm holding her waist. She's so close to me.
I mentally slapped myself.
I sounded just like Mineta, how disgusting.
It's nice though isn't it? You get to help a literal goddess.

I was quickly tended to by Recovery Girl, only to feel sluggish and even more light headed. I stood up but I fell right back on the bed.
"You should rest here for a while. You used a lot of stamina today." Recovery Girl looked at me before looking at Tokoyami. "You can stay here or go back to class if you want."
"I can stay. I don't want her to try to go back to class like this." He replied. After a moment of silence, Tokoyami asked, "So, about your quirk, will you be able to use everyone's quirk forever, or is there a limitation on how much how can learn and retain?"
"Anything I learn involving nonphysical materials, stay in my brain forever, but with stuff like quirks, I can't physically retain them for more than 48 hours unless I use said quirk consistently. So if I wanted, like Bakugo said earlier, I could be a great "quirk-stealing bastard"." I laughed. "Thankfully the side-effects of my quirk aren't too bad. When I use it too much, my body gets really weak and I get dizzy; specially when I heal people, that's why I almost passed out from it today."
Tokoyami nodded in response to my explanation. "I see. I never realized how complex your quirk is."
I smiled at the compliment, and sat up. "I've never actually told anyone about my quirk, or even let anyone see me after I overuse it. Can you please keep this a secret?"
"Yes." Tokoyami nodded once more.

-

"I feel better." I stood, slightly wobbling. "We can head back."
Tokoyami stood up and supported me as we walked back to the classroom; hand on my waist, and the other holding onto my hand that wrapped around his neck.

We got back to the classroom and I slid open the door and stepped inside. Tokoyami led me to my seat as everyone began to ask if I was alright.
"I'm okay!" I replied. "You guys really worked me out today though. I would be screwed if I actually had to fight you all."

- - -

After helping (y/n) get to her seat, I returned to my own.
"Ah~ Tokoyami you're so lucky." Kaminari whispered to me.
"How come?"
"You got to hold (n/n) like that! You got to feel her smooth skin and hold her by the waist." Mineta drooled at the thought.
"I was just helping her walk." I responded dryly.
"Tokoyami," Shoji began, "what was that all about? With Dark Shadow being all friendly with (y/n)."
I tried to remain calm as I gave my response. "He thought that she had the same quirk as me and wanted to greet her I suppose."
"I see." Shoji nodded.
You're a horrible liar.

"Listen. Just because you beat me today doesn't mean you'll beat me tomorrow." Bakugo stated as a matter of fact.
"I would rather not. I mean, we're supposed to be on the same team right? I don't wanna compete with you Bakugo, I want to see you grow and flourish into a great hero." I replied softly, eyes closed with my head resting on my desk.
"I don't care!" He grit his teeth. "I'm gonna beat you and all these other extras to become the number one hero!"
"You go ahead and do that," I chuckled, "I'll just be your awesome sidekick if that's what you're saying."
"Like hell you would." He scoffed and marched back to his seat.
I guess he's not that bad. I can see why Kirishima likes him.

A/N: I didn't know how to refer to each Dark Shadow during the battle so I hope that part flowed nicely.
I'm open to suggestions for the future of the story :)
