Chapter Four

Hunter

Walking towards the double doors of the school I saw Scarlet walking to her car with some guy , this is my opportunity I have to convince her.

‘Scarlet! Here’s my physics homework’

When I was walking towards her she grabbed her friends hand and said ‘RUN!’

I ran after them but I realized it was useless so I just turned around and walk towards my car and started towards home.

Just when we got home the bus was drooping off my little sister Ellie. She always made me smile no matter what.

‘Huntyy!’ She screamed while running towards me with her arms wide open, I picked her up and started walking towards our house.

‘Hey princess how was your day?’ I asked her while setting her down on a stool on the kitchen counter.

‘Today I did a bunch of stuff! We colored in art class and I learned my ABC’s!’ she said with a huge smile

‘That’s great Ellie! Do you want a snack?’

‘Yeah, I want hmmm…. Oh I know! Apple juice and cookies !’

‘Apple juice and cookies it is then’

While I was serving the food she sat in the stool coloring in her book. She was a cute little five year old, you see I live with my mom and obviously little sister. My mom and dad divorced about five years ago, she found out she was pregnant after they had divorced. My dad was a*s he cheated on my mom, when she found out kicked him out he moved to the other side of the country with his other women and we haven’t known about since.

‘Hunty when is mommy going to be home?’ Ellie asked while I was handing her the snack.

‘I don’t now maybe later at night, remember she has to work late today’

‘ohh I wish she was home so I can tell her all about my day’ she said with a sad face

‘Aww its okay you can tell her all about it later.’ I said smiling at her 

My mom was a very hard worker she had a few days of the week where she worked overtime to have a little more money, she is a psychologist that has her own private office in the city she earns good money but sometimes likes to have a little extra so she works a few more hours a couple times a week.

‘Okay Ellie it’s time to do your homework come on’ I said leading her towards the office.

While walking into physics class the next day I saw Scarlet sitting in her usual seat, like always she’s early, nerds…

I took my seat in the back of the class room and put on my headphones trying to ignore the world that I could still faintly hear.

In the middle of one of my favorite songs I heard my name faintly being called by the teacher.

‘Hunter, please put that contraption away this is a school and you are here to learn not listen to music.’ My physic teacher said

‘Fine’ I muttered putting my ipod away

‘Oh and please move next to Scarlet she is going to be you lab partner for the remaining part of the year’ what’s his face said

Great! I sit by myself because I don’t like talk to people much and you can see I don’t talk to many people at school unless it Scarlet trying to force her to do my homework, so I guess it not going to be so bad.

I moved to the empty chair next to Scarlet, she just ignored me and keep on listening to the teacher.

Well this is going to be an interesting year.

Sitting in Miss. White’s English class she announces that we got our letters back.

Interesting, I wonder what the person wrote back.

‘Hunter here’s yours.’ She said handing me an envelope with the number 16 writing on it.

 Hi there stranger

  In case you were wondering I am a girl and I am in my teens. (Duh! Where in high school who isn’t) anyways I love to walk around. It will be hard for you to find out who I am because I am two different people in and out of school and NO I AM NOT BIPOLAR. Every time I write you a letter I will give you a small detail about me I hope we can make this a deal.

Well I got a girl, that’s good I guess, I wonder who she is. At least I know it’s not one of those obnoxious girls that just want to get into boys pants, you know?

She sounds cool and is kind of funny, I like her.

‘Okay students please leave the letters on the desk and leave tomorrow you will write your answers to the letter, good afternoon.’ Miss White said

I was almost home when i heard my phone ringing. I answered in and then put it on speaker.

‘Hello’ I said with a bored tone there is only one person that calls me at this time.

‘Hey babe ! Why so down?’
