Walk home with me

Midoriya [POV]

"I should be getting home now" I explained looking out the window at the dark streets

"It's kinda dark out do you want me to walk you home?" Todoroki asked as if he was reading my mind as he looked out the window over my head

"Yeah I would appreciate that" I nodded with a smile

"Fuyumi I'm gonna walk Midoriya home I can help with dinner when I get home don't let Natsuo into the kitchen" Todoroki called

"Yeah I know don't worry" Fuyumi called back from somewhere in the house

"your house is huge Todoroki" I insisted putting my shoes back on

"I guess so"

"It's much bigger than my apartment at least" I shrugged as Todoroki opened the door and we stepped out.  The only thing illuminating the streets was the faint yellowish glow from the street lights.  I hummed to myself as we walked

"Hey Todoroki tomorrow will you still sit with us at lunch?" I asked after a while of silence

"I guess so" He shrugged "It's not like I have anyone else to sit with so why should I be one to complain"

"I guess" I looked down at the sidewalk as we came up to an intersection

"Which way is it?" He asked looking each way

"Straight" I responded continuing to walk a fence on our right stretched up tall blocking whatever was behind it from out view

"Is this the way you walk to school every day?" he asked

"No I usually go down that way" I pointed back behind us at the street that went left "But I go this way home"

"Oh Fuyumi insists to drive me to school though it isn't that far to walk" he shrugged

"Your siblings are very nice" I commented

"They're really protective though and Fuyumi wants us to act like a family though I still stay distant and Natsuo hates Endeavor as much as I do, mom is still in the hospital but she's doing better and, I'm pretty sure Endeavor still thinks I'm rebelling though I use my left side like he wanted" He ranted looking up at the stars "Well I guess how you wanted" I blushed at his comment

"Well I'm still the baby of the family and since I didn't really grow up with everyone they're trying to make up for the lost time" Todoroki shrugged looking back at the sidewalk

"You're lucky to have siblings I'm an only child" I insisted

"Well they're kind of annoying especially when Endeavor isn't home like before especially with Fuyumi fussing over any friends I have over" Todoroki explained

"I guess you're right" I agreed turning right down the street Todoroki following me

"They act like I've got no social skills at all" he rolled his eyes

"Well that is kind of true you don't have the best social skills you usually let others do the talking unless you've got an idea for something" I teased

"How was I supposed to know how to make friends if I never got to have a normal childhood because of Endeavor?" he asked

"Well you just have to talk to them and be nice don't force anything if they don't want to things like that come naturally" I explained

"I don't need many friends I have you and everyone in 1-A is friends" he insisted

"yeah but it helps to know a lot of people and be friends with them especially when you're doing hero work"
