As Trixie pulled into her driveway and parked, she could already hear yelling from inside of the house. She tried to sneak in through the back, but her stepfather was stood in the kitchen yelling something unintelligible at Trixie's mother. She didn't do anything, she couldn't, so she just tried to sneak past him and go to her bedroom.
"Trixie." Her stepfather was slurring his words and she could smell the alcohol coming off of his breath. She knew better than to protest or fight him or do anything, so she stopped and looked at him, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "You're late," he slurred again.
"No, I'm not." She spoke with firmness in her voice. "You said be home at six. It's five fifty." Then, she turned away from him and went to her room. She didn't fall victim to his games and she didn't ever fight him. This was her mother's mess, and in Trixie's eyes, it was her mother's job to get out of it.
They weren't rich, per say, but they had money to spend. Trixie always stoke her mother's credit card when they went shopping. She never seemed to notice the absence, so that just egged Trixie on even more.
As she entered her bedroom, her pink wonderland, she checked her phone.
katya: thank you for today
katya: i really like the outfit :)wear it next time we hang out then ;)
katya: which will be..?
how about after the next meeting?
katya: ok, see you then :)
Katya had put on the dress when she got home and she never wanted to take it off. It made her feel so pretty- just like Trixie did. Something about Trixie was so captivating. The way she spoke, the way she walked, everything about her. It made Katya feel guilty.
The incident last summer involved her ex girlfriend. Everything had changed after that, and Katya never wanted to look at another girl again. She never wanted to be in love. She never wanted to kiss or to touch. She never wanted anything. Katya was content with living, breathing, and dying alone. Love is an illusion.
But Trixie was so intriguing. She had pink hair and she bought Katya things and she made Katya feel a type of beautiful that she hadn't felt since everything happened last summer. All she had felt was ugly until Trixie waltzed into her life. And she knew it was wrong, she knew they had only just met, she knew everything was happening too quickly, but damnit, she had a crush on Trixie.
Trixie was probably straight though. She wore short skirts and tight shirts and high heels. Katya had heard no rumors about Trixie's sexuality, though Katya wasn't usually somewhere where rumors would reach her. When Katya came out and started dating her ex girlfriend, rumors spread like wildfire. People thought she would be sent to a camp in Russia. People speculated that she would be disowned and deported. People are cruel. But Katya's parents, though it was hard, stuck by her side and defended her name regardless of relationships it would cost them. They loved their daughter whole-heartedly and nothing could change that.
That is, until the incident last summer.
Trixie was a huge lesbian. All she had ever done since childhood was ogle other girls and women. She loved how their spines curves slightly with their butts, she loved boobs, and she just loved girls. Not that anyone cared. Her mother certainly didn't care. Her step-father didn't like it, but he didn't care. And that's it. That's her whole family, her whole circle.
Trixie had friends, sure. But never a best friend. She had flings with a boy every now and again, but never a boyfriend. As far as she knew, Katya was the only other lesbian left in this town, and Trixie decided to settle for boys. I mean, they had dicks, so I mean that's something, right? Trixie used boys for sex. It was fun and freeing and easy, and a horny teenage boy certainly was no rarity. There was no shortage of boys for Trixie, no shortage of people she could be friends with, or parties she could get lost in. Life was limitless, just how she liked it.
That is, until the incident in February.
