Chapter 5

"You are a Warlock." He said it like he was scared to tell me, like I might hurt him, Magnus thought. 

"That's impossible how can that be?!" Magnus's head was in shambles,"How is it possible that those things exist? How I exist? And you still didn't tell me about the Lightwoods."

"We shouldn't talk here, let's go home i'll call your mother and we'll have this talk together, ya?" Magnus couldn't believe this was his life now, he could never go back, on the plus side that did explain the weird things Magnus has been seeing his whole life. He thought he was crazy, but apparently... 

"Ya whatever, but I'm not talking to her unless I have to, ok? I can't stand her and am still a little mad after what happened at when I was in the hospital." He couldn't forgive her, at least, not yet.

"ok." Was all his dad had said as he locked up the store and walked over to his car, that was a little fancy for someone who owned a thrift shop, but he didn't mind it. He turned the car on and started to drive home. Magnus was glad his dad wasn't pressing him on the matter, he liked the fact that he never did.

The whole car ride home was silent, with only the steady hum of the cars engine, so Magnus was stuck there with his thoughts, and his many, many, questions. Like, How can you tell if someone is one of these creatures? Why had Magnus been kept in the dark all these years? Are there a lot of people like mhim out there? Or at his own school even? Was Alec one of them? Were all the Lightwoods one of them? So any questions with no answers. Magnus was so confused with his role in life than ever now. 

Magnus was so wrapped in his own head he hadn't heard his dad pull in the driveway until his dad called him,"son, lets go, i'll call your mother when were inside." Magnus couldn't help but smirk at the man he saw just now, so shaken and taken aback by all this. Magnus hadn't ever seen him act this way. Not even the divorce had him like this.

 Magnus got up and took out his phone from his pocket, he had 4 missed calls, 3 of which were from... Alec?

Magnus didn't understand why him of all people tried to contact him. So, he called him back. Alec answered on the first ring. "Hey Alec, whats up?" Magnus's voice had cracked making him blush.

"Hey, so look about what I said earlier, in the bathroom, I just wanted you to know that I'm sorry. If I had known you were in there I wouldn't have said all those things that I said." Magnus was about to pass out. How did he find out I was in there? Magnus couldn't help but wonder, What will he think of me now that he knows I know?

"um, please say something, I know you heard me say that I have a thing for you, you understand right? That we can't like. Nobody knows I'm you know gay." He sounded shook.

"Meet me at the baseball field tomorrow after school by the trees." Was all Magnus said before he hung up.
