After Rage left, Joy felt lost. She had no idea what to do. She felt awkward just sitting around his house. She needed to find an empty cabin or see if she could room with Ari or someone. She wanted to find a way to get some clothes. She didn't like borrowing clothes. She wanted her own. But how was she going to get clothes if she wasnt allowed to leave. She needed to figure it out. She needed to figure out how she wanted to handle Rage. Did she really want to see what would happen if she was at his cabin tonight? Did he really want her? Tonight she would figure it out.
What she wanted to do most was walk and explore. She thought about asking Ari to join her. She headed toward the clinic, on a mission. She entered it and her head quickly began to throb. She sat down as her vision slowly turned blurry.

"You think he wants you. You think you will ever belong there." The gravelly voice of her captor echoed through her head. "You are mine. I will find you. I will take you. I will make you pay for escaping me." He growled. "Be a good girl and tell me where the pack is hiding. Im sure you can figure it out. I wouldn't want to have to hurt some innocent bystander. Do as I say and you will be rewarded." The voice paused for a few beats. "You aren't one of them. You belong with me."
"Why me?" She thought back. "I am no one. Why me?"
He chuckled, "You are more special than you know. I can help you figure out just how special you are."
"I won't tell you where the pack is. I wont marry you. I won't help you. Leave me alone."
"You will do as I say." He growled. "You will obey your master!"

She cried out as a burning, stabbing pain rolled through her body. She clutched her head to try and relieve the pain. It continued to intensify, rolling through her body. She tried to curl up away from the pain but she couldn't. Her body needed release.
She began shaking. Her skin felt tight. Her bones felt as if they were growing. She felt as if she was on fire. Before she knew what happened, she was on all fours. Breathing heavy while the rolling pain began to subside. She couldn't control the shaking.
"Woah! Just who are you?" Ari asked as she came into the room.
Joy felt anxious being cooped up inside. She wanted to stretch her limbs. Wanted to run, but Ari moved in front of the door.
"I don't recognize the wolf you are. That either means you are a new wolf of our pack or you are Joy." Ari said slowly coming forward. "Since I would have been made aware of an upcoming change, I believe you are Joy." Ari kneeled down next to her. "Picture yourself as you were before. The woman who walked in. Just picture yourself as your human form."
With a shudder Joy was back to being her human self. She was shivering. The pain was gone but the memory of it made her scared. Ari must have picked up on something, because she helped Joy stand and helped her into an empty exam room. She left for a moment and returned with a pair of scrubs.
"What happened out there?" Ari asked her as she helped her dress.
Joy just shook her head. How could she explain she heard her captors voice in her head? How could she explain that he wanted to mate her? What about the pain she had felt? Could she explain that?
"Joy, I can't help you unless you tell me what happened? What made you change?" Ari said softly. "Talk to me."
"Do not tell her!" He growled in her head.
Pain followed the command causing her to double over. She turned up on the exam table and whimpered. Ari began to panic and hollered for Sam. Sam came rushing in and stopped right inside the door.
"Water, a blanket, and try to find Rage." Ari barked out the orders.
Ari stayed by her side until Sam returned with a blanket and water. She covered Joy up and sat beside her. Joys body began to grow tired. She was exhausted. She struggled to stay awake. Before she knew it, she was drifting off to sleep.

Dimitri grinned. His plan was working. The connection he had to the female through her blood was strong. He could connect with her. Make her see anything he wanted to make her see. He was using that to his advantage. Making her see, feel, and experience anything he wanted her to. The only thing that might stand in his way was the fact he had felt the pull she had to the wolf male. If they finished the mating process, it might sever the connection to her.
"Is she close to giving us information?" His right hand man, Van, asked him.
"I am working on her." He told him. "She's strong willed. Might put up a fight, but i should get what I want."
"Good, good." Van told him. "I checked with my source, there will be a small group of wolves traveling through in a few days. I gave Gage the info. He is preparing his unit for an ambush."
"Tell him to watch his back. I don't trust these wolves as far as I can throw them." Dimitri growled. "I want to be kept up to date. Put someone on the females apartment. She's wanting her own items. They may let her return for them soon."
Van nodded. "Kill on sight?"
"Not her. I have plans for her. Anyone with her, yes. Don't leave anyone alive." Dimitri told him.

She woke feeling wrung out.  Her mind swimming. What had happened to her? She thought on it a bit. Suddenly remembering the voice of her captor, the warning, the pain. She had changed into her wolf. She remembered Ari being with her when she changed back to her human form. She remembered Ari trying to talk to her.
The fear gripped her again. How had her captor been able to talk to her? Why did he choose her? Why did he keep calling her his? Why was he able to connect with her? He had told her she was more special them she knew, what had he meant? She felt the panic beginning to set in. She needed air. She needed to get out of the room. She sat up quickly, pausing because she felt dizzy. After a few moments, she stood and slowly walked to the door. She opened it and was greeted by Sam. Sam wore her short blonde hair in a Mohawk. Her blue eyes showing concerned.
"Let's get you back to the bed. I need to take your vitals." Sam told her.
Joy shook her head. She didn't want to sit down. She needed air. She needed out of that room. The panic was rising again. Her heart was racing. She began to sweat. Sam noticed and took her hand. Sam led her through the cabin and out onto the porch. The cold air helped bring her back to reality. The closed her eyes and focused on breathing. When she opened them, Ari was standing where Sam had previously been.
"What happened today?" Ari asked her.
"I... I cant... I cant." Joy tried to say. "I cant talk about it."
"Try. I need to know what happened." Ari pressed again.
"Voices. Pain." Joy mumbled. "His voice telling me I belonged to him. Telling me he was going to marry me. If I was a good girl, I would be rewarded."
"Who? Rage? Did Rage tell you this?" Ari asked with a frown.
Joy shook her head. "No. Not Rage. The... The vampire who took me. Told me he was marrying me. He says I am special. More special than I think. Says Rage doesn't want me. Rage cant want me." Tears began to well in her eyes. She was scared. So very scared. "He can hear me. He told me not to tell you."
"Alright. Let's get you in bed.  You need rest." Ari said as she helped Joy stand.
They slowly made their way from the clinic to Rages cabin. Why was Ari taking her there? Joy wanted to argue about going there, she just didn't have the energy to fight her. Ari led her into a room down the hall past the restroom. Once inside, Joy let Ari help her into the bed and she quickly drifted into a troubled sleep.
