Caleb, Ty and I got out of the truck once I had parked it in front of Cabin One. The ladies drove their own vehicle down to the dude ranch. They got out and went to admire the place.

The three of us started to unload the bags that were tagged from New York and set them on the deck of the first cabin. We worked in silence, a few ouches and groans were muttered by me and a few chuckles were uttered by Caleb.

The three women looked out beyond the lake. They spun in circles taking in the beauty of the land here at Heartland. After all, it was the land of hearts, the land of love. I fell in love with it when I first came here and it sounded like the others did too.

"Alright," Lou said, walking over to Ty, Caleb and I who were huddled near the entrance to the first cabin. "You all have been awesome so far. You guys can go back to the barn and get the horses ready for the girls."

I nodded and glanced at Caleb and Ty. "I'm not driving," I said. I looked at Ty. "You can drive if you want."

"No, I'm good. Caleb, you've got it," Ty said, he opened the door for me and I climbed into the middle seat. Caleb sat in the driver's side and Ty sat to my right.

Caleb turned in the rounded driveway and headed back out to the house. I could see him glancing down at me through the mirror. But all I did was stare at his perfect blue eyes. I saw his shoulder move up and down slightly as he cleared his throat.

I quickly gazed out Ty's window. Ty noticed me looking out the window. "You okay?" he asked me.

I nodded. "Yeah, I'm good. I just had something in my eye," I said, raising my right hand to my right eye.

"Uh huh," Ty said unbelieving.

Caleb drove up to the fence in front of the house and parked on an angle. He killed the engine and unbuckled his seatbelt. I hopped out the passenger side and turned towards the barn. A red sports car was parked outside the front doors of the barn.

Mallory was in the round pen with Copper, one of the horse's Jack owns. Mallory claims him as her own, so she works around here so she can ride and care for Copper.

I saw Amy quickly run out of the barn, glance at the car, then to me. She started jogging over to meet me halfway between the truck and the barn. She grabbed my arm and spun me to face the house. "I think we should go get a drink," she said.

I stared at her, confused. "Amy, I'm not thirsty," I replied. "Who's car is that?" I turned back around towards the barn.

Caleb and Ty were walking together towards the barn.

"Ty!" Amy shouted at them. Ty turned his head to look at the two of us. Amy shook her head violently.

I looked at Ty, then noticed a blonde girl come out of the barn. "Who the hell is that?" I asked Amy. I've never seen this girl around here before. Amy must know her and Ty must know her.

"This isn't going to be good," Amy whispered to herself. She started towards the two boys with a fast pace. "Ty!"

I walked to the sports car and looked at the licence plate that said 'HOT ASH'. Ash? Ashley? I thought. This girl wouldn't dare to show up here.

"Who's car is this?" I asked starting to get upset.

Caleb and Ty were at the tractor while Amy was still trying to get the attention of the two boys and tell them what was going on and what was going to happen.

"Yeah, that's my car," the blonde chick said from the barn doors. "And I don't appreciate it when people snoop inside it."

I glanced up at her. She was wearing a hot pink tank top with grey yoga pants and these weird sort of flats. "And who are you?" I asked, angry because nobody's been answering my questions.
