"...Come again?"
That was the question I asked the Devil in front of me, Yumi Kiba, as I wonder if my ears were hearing things.
The reason for this situation is very simple: Kiba arrived in class a few seconds after the bell rang for lunch with bento in hand, exactly the moment I got out of the room. When our eyes meet, she grabbed me and dragged to the roof without even warning me. This obviously caused a lot of eyes to turn towards our direction as we moved through the corridor, even the eyes of Argento and Hyōdō, with the few male students cursing my name for this 'blessing'... And as usual, I ignored such a useless thing.
And while I don't like getting dragged around without any warning, I didn't try to pry away from the [Knight] since I planned on going to the roof anyway, so I guess that it's a win-win for both of us.
"We're going to the Gremory Mansion." The blond [Knight] repeated as she sat at my opposite side, an open bento right in front of her.
"...Can you explain why we're going to Gremory's home? I honestly thought the House of Gremory has a penthouse somewhere in Japan that your [King] would use instead of going back home." I couldn't help but ask that question, my curiosity coming back as I wonder why would the redhead want or even agree to have her home as a location to train at all. Considering that canon version didn't even think of going home to train for the [Rating Game], I kinda expected the same to be the case here in this AU.
"Akeno-san was the one that suggested the idea, saying that we should train in Buchou's home since her mother can help Buchou train with the [Power of Destruction] and control over it. But Buchou disagreed, wanting to use one of the penthouses in the human world in order to train without the watchful from the eyes of her parents, plus she doesn't want to disturb them."
I nodded in agreement with Himejima's reasons on why we should train in the Gremory Mansion, seeing the benefit of having Lady Gremory teach her daughter how to use her the [Power of Destruction] properly since I have no idea on how to teach her about. The best that I could do for the redhead is advice on using [Power of Destruction] with more creativity (like firing small but fast bullets in a similar fashion to [Gandrs]), rather than just charging up a large ball of it and throwing the ball at her opponents.
"Buchou and Akeno-san had a long-discussed about, but Akeno-san won in the end by briding Buchou with an idea that she couldn't refuse after hearing it."
...I'm not going ask what the deal that the sadistic [Queen] told the crimson otaku/weeb [King] in order to shut the latter up because it's not my business to know everything they agreed/disagreed on. Well, I supposed that I haven't asked the most important question yet: "When are we going?"
"Tomorrow, 5:30 in the morning."
"..." I looked at the blonde [Knight] with deadpanned eyes, unamused at that certain info. That time is way too early for me "...Let me guess, they're doing this in order to get back at me for pissing them off, especially Himejima and Tōjō, by telling them about their faults and they should abandon their grudges/fears towards their abilities." I pause for a second to take a short breath before letting out a sign "I wasn't exactly lying on what I believe about her and Tōjō's abilities and their grudges towards said abilities, especially if you four are going to fight for your [King]'s freedom." I stated without any shame, having no regret about my words "I don't care if any of you will hate me if I'm proven right. The only thing that matters to you, the ORC, is to be victorious in the [Rating Game]."
"...It's not easy to let go of a grudge, especially if it caused you so much misery." Kiba said this sentence in a cold and lifeless tone that it actually made me pause my thoughts before turning towards her curiosity. And what I saw was a bit surprising, because she's currently sporting the famous Yandere eyes (vacant version) as she just stared at her bento "I know how they feel since Koneko-chan and Akeno-san aren't the only ones with a grudge..."
