I hope you guys are enjoying this story so far, those of you that keep reading when I update at least :)

Xavier's suit above ;)

-----------

I don't dress up for dinner. I decided to dress in regular black leggings  and a red sweatshirt. I didn't need to dress up if it was just a dinner between my dad and Xavier, right? Either way, I wasn't going to change, one: I'm too lazy, two: I'm comfy.

I'm nervous though. Nervous for whatever questions my father is going to grill Xavier with. I wonder if Xavier will be truthful, if I'll learn anything about him. I don't know Xavier at all and I wanted to.

I look in my mirror, I left my hair down as always, I didn't bother with makeup because whichever way the dinner goes, at the end of the day I don't want to take off my makeup after just an hour or two.

I hear the doorbell ring and take a deep breath. Welp, it was nice knowing life, except when I nearly got kidnapped, I could have skipped that part.

I head downstairs, yelling to my father that I'll get it as he sets the table. I grab the door knob, maybe I can just leave him out there, say I got the flu. Ugh, he'd see right through me. I open the door and lose my breath.

He's standing in a black suit, his hair back but manages to make it look natural, on second thought, maybe I should of dressed up. He smiles at me and I can't help but stare at him. He clears his throat and I meet his eyes.

"Sorry, come in," I tell him, he smiles more as he walks past me. He inspects the house as I close the door. I stand next to him, seeing that my father stood in the kitchen. Their gaze meets and Xavier makes the first move my holding a hand out to my father.

"It's nice to meet you, sir," he says almost professionally, my father takes his hand and gives him a small smile. They look like two business men agreeing on joining their companies.

"You too, you can call me Byron," my father tells him. Xavier nods at him and glances back at me, I give him a smile to assure him he's doing good.

"Why don't we eat, I'm sure Mara here could eat all of our plates with the way she eats," my father chuckles.

"I don't eat that much," I mumble as I sit next to Xavier, my father sitting across from us. I love grilled chicken, my mother taught my father to cook, I remember he was cooking once when I was a child and nearly burned the house down.

We start eating, making small comments every once in awhile.

"Xavier, what do you do for a living, you must be quite successful to own a suit like that, I've got a few of mine own," my father says, I roll my eyes at his self promotion.

"I'm a business man mostly, I run errands for a corporation and it pays well," he tells him. My father nods at him.

"What kind of errands, if I may ask of course," my father asks, Xavier wipes his hands on a napkin.

"Mainly delivering, this corporation is very classified for the most part, but I will say they are very known," Xavier answers. I stare at him, I could tell he was telling the truth, but what exactly is his job? Does he actually work for some corporate? Maybe that's why he is so wealthy. Other than Athens selling drugs.

"I'm a business man myself, I'm a lawyer," my father tells him. Xavier seems to pipe up at the information.

"What kind?" he asks. My father shrugs, "Mostly crimes, I do some divorces once in awhile but crime gets you to the top," my father tells him. Xavier nods, seeming to actually be interested in this.
