[Wattpad really messes with my keyboard sometimes. Is that just me?]

"What's got you down today?" Caleb asked.

The two had decided to try to put more of an effort in to getting to know each other. Especially because Minho fancied Caleb.

Ever since that one discussion, the two were a bit more open. However, conversations still lacked sometimes.

But the silences were never awkward.

"Uh, just thinking." Minho answered. He had been a bit surprised to see that Caleb actually noticed he was upset.

The younger had a hard time grasping emotions.

That meant that Minho's bumming attitude was noticeable.

"Thinking about what?" Caleb joined him at the dining table.

He had originally left his room to get something to drink.

But he wanted the relationship thing to be a thing. Because believe it or not, he actually liked Minho. It didn't show that well, but the liking he had for the male was 100% there.

So that's why he was at the table instead of in the kitchen getting some OJ.

"Our existence."

"Like what?"

Minho arched a brow. While Caleb's caring behaviour wasn't rare, it also wasn't common.

It threw him off a little.

Alas, he still answered.

"A lot of things, actually. Like, compared to earth, we're no bigger than a grain of sand. Imagine how small a grain or sand is compared to earth. And compared to the size of our galaxy? We're nothing. A microscope probably wouldn't be able to see us." He huffed. "It's just very saddening because everyone stresses us getting education so that we can get good jobs and make a difference in the world. So that we can be something. But at the end of the day, we're still nothing."

Caleb nodded slowly. He kind of didn't want to listen anymore.

Suff like this hurt his head. He didn't want to think about anymore than he already had to.

"Then people say that the world is so diverse, no two people are alike. But we're made from the universe. We're just recycled atoms and matter. Matter can't be created or destroyed. So it's impossible that two people can't be exactly alike. It's just impossible."

"Hmm ..." Caleb interjected quietly. "Sounds like you need some medicine too?"

"It just really boggles and depresses me. Because no matter how hard I try, I'm still gonna be nothing at the end of the day. And a hundred years from now, when I'm dead, I'm gonna be made in to something else and I'm still gonna be nothing at the end of that day."

"I see." Caleb slowly nodded.

How do you respond to that?

Right. You don't.

But you can change the subject.

"I'm gonna go grab some orange juice. You want some?"
