It has been two weeks since Jordan began tutoring Riley. She didn't realize just how hard it would be. The girl may be rich, but she had the attention span of an oaf. It took a lot from Jordan to manage her time , and make sure she was at school, basketball, and still watched out for her younger sisters. On most nights she did not sleep, she was determined to change her life around and repave the path that her mother had set out for her and her sisters. That required Jordan to always be on top of her game. She found it exhausting on most days, but she pushed through because she knew that her life was not the only one that had to change. She didn't just want to do it for her sisters though, she wanted to prove her mom wrong. She wanted to be kid who pulled herself up from the ashes and embraced a new lease on life. She needed to show her mom that she was worth the air she was breathing.

She made her way to over to the middle school her sisters attended, she just made it in time to pick them up. She greeted the little girls with the most amount of care and love. Often people assumes those girls were her kids , and that she was a victim to teenage pregnancy. I guess you could say, that she was the mother those girls needed. They made their way over to the burger shack, to pick up the food Jordan had ordered before picking them up. Once she got her order she walked the girls home, and left them next door to be watched by the lady that lived there. Once they were settled in , Jordan looked at the time and sprinted out the house. She could not be late for her next lesson. This was her life, it has always been this way. Between classes and during lunch hour, she either had to work or fetch the girls from school and make sure they got home safe.

She made it back to school right on time, as she was taking her seat , the buzzer went off. The teachers all knew Jordan's situation at home, they lived in a small community and people were fond of speaking about each other, when one's back is turned. They knew what happened between her mom and the father if her children. They also knew she was unfit to be apparent. Yet each person who knew, refuse to let child services get involved and take them away from each other. They admired Jordan, although she was not your typical good girl, who had amazing grades. She was some what special, they even wanted Jordan to go to better school was skip grades, however not only could she not afford that, she couldn't be too far away and in a situation where she couldn't leave to pick up the girls. She was known as extra special to her teachers, she had always functioned beyond her years and although she could breeze through school and be cocky about it, she chose to keep her head down and remain humble, and work even harder.
