Monday Morning

The sound of the buzzing traffic filled the air. She was late, very very late. If she was going to make it in time to catch the bus to basketball camp , she was going to have to make a run for it. She got the girls packed and up and ready to leave , she hugged them tight and assured them everything was going to be. She finally took them next door, and said her final goodbyes again. She was going to miss , and a part of her didn't want to leave them. Yet deep down within herself she knew these were the small steps she needed to take if she was going to pull them out the miserable situation that were born into.

She ran back into her house, and got her packs looked over for a final time. She took a quick shower, put in a track suit and made her way over the Wayde community center. That's where they were told to meet, in order to get everyone signed in and ready for camp.

As she made her way to the center, she remembered what Riley had told her about the prep school hosting them for the week. A part of her didn't wasn't to believe it, yet the other part felt as if Riley could never lie to her. She stopped her mind from going too far off course and remembered why she had to do this. Her sisters ! It was her love for them tgat kept her going , even when she found herself in her weakest of moments it was the thought of those girls that lifted her up and pushed her to be better, to rise up and be stronger. Her sisters has always been the most important individuals in her life. She grew up and took a stand, because she knew her nightmares about their life wasn't something she needed them to have to go through.

She started walking in the community center, when she saw a familiar car. It was Riley. She walked towards it and noticed that Riley was still sitting inside it.

' Hey ' , Jordan says.

' Hey sleepy head I've been waiting for you. I didn't want to go inside alone. ' , Riley confessed.

' hahaha are you scared that the other public school kids would do something to you ? ' , Jordan blurted out sarcasticall. Whole still laughing and ushering her inside.

' I have nothing to worry about , I bet they are all just as sweet and you ' , Riley said while biting her lip and walking over to where her school was sitting.

Jordan had began to notice that Riley started getting flirty with her, she had always assumed that she was over reacting and putting too much energy into something that wasn't there. She brushes it off and made her way over to the rest of her teams mates.

The hall became silent and all students were briefed on the rules and regulations for the rest of the week. They were instruction to team up in pairs and stick to each other for the rest of the week. It didn't matter if you were a cheerleader or a baller,  as long as you were from different school and were socializing. That's all the teachers and leaders cared about. They wanted to make sure two different sets of individuals could bridge the gap and work together in hope of forming a friendship. After the address of the students, they had 10 minutes to pair up and get well acquainted with their fellow student.

Riley knew what she wanted and she was set out to get it. She also heard the other cheerleaders talking about the basketball teams and mentioning how they looked cuter than most of the boys at their school. Riley took that as a cue for her to quickly team up with Jordan.

' Hi I'm Riley,  and I'll be yours for the rest of the week. ' , she said while sticking out her hand getting ready to shake hands with Jordan.

' Riley, I'm Jordan and not sure if I want to be teamed up with you for an entire week ' , Jordan playfully hissed while ignoring her hand shake gesture.

' Too bad, you're stuck with me ' , Riley shot back while grinning.

' This is going to be one long week ' , Jordan said to herself.

' Oh Miss Riley , you'll be driving instead if using the bus. You're welcome to take your buddy for the week with you ' , announced Miss Lawson , who was also the deputy head master of Wavery Academy.

The entire hall sighed after that announced , with many students displaying their annoyance at the situation. However Miss Lawson had reminded them that it was a privilege that came with being on the student council.

The halls emptied and everything made their way to the bus. The bags were nicely packed at the bottom of the coach bus and the students quickly filled up the miss along with the teachers who were accompanying them. Riley and Jordan packed their bags in Rileys boot and got ready to begin following the bus.
