Rising from the crowd they spoke.
"I'll do it," Onnikka said.
Taylor being a follower said, "Me too."
Keira was shocked, she wasn't expecting anyone to volunteer. She went over to them and Becca followed.
"Are you two sure?" Keira checked.
Both nodded their heads.
"Okay..." Keira thought about what should happen next. "Onnikka, do you have your phone?" She asked.
Onnikka shook her head and went over to her bag.
"This is what's gonna happen. We're going to need to communicate. Go out there and see what's going on. Come right back once you do." Keira directed Onnikka and Taylor.
They nodded in understanding. Soon they were sent off on their way to investigate with nothing but Onnikka's phone.
As they peaked through the door, a respectful silence settled along the students.
"I don't see anyone," Onnikka spoke, only her head peering through the door.
As the two finally entered into the hallway, the few left gathered around Keira's phone, now on speaker.
"I don't see much," Onnikka whispered into her phone, "Its pitch black out here. We're heading down the stairs now."
"Okay, keep going. What's it look like outside?" Becca questioned.
Taylor turned to look out the windows towards the open parking lot.
"It's dark. The sky, it looks- it looks almost blood red! The clouds are almost black...Wait! I see someone!" Taylor ran through the door to where the mystery person is standing, Onnikka close behind.
The closer Taylor got to the person, the slower she went.
"Th-they look weird," Taylor whispered to Onnikka's phone, slowly inching closer to the person.
"Are you okay?" Onnikka yelled to the person, now only a yard from Taylor.
This person wasn't human, not anymore at least. The creature whipped around and lunged at Taylor. Taylor screamed as she attempted to run.
"Oh crap! It's another freaking zombie! Shoot!" Onnika shrieked loud enough for her phone to pick up.
She grappled for Taylor's arm and tried to help her away, but it was too late. The zombie had already gotten to her.
"What's going on?! Onnikka!" Keira yelled through the phone.
Onnikka tried to run away, but the zombie was able to take a firm grip on Onnikka's forearm, digging its claws into her skin. Onnikka yelped and dropped her phone as she tried to play the zombie off of her. "Onnikka," Keira tried, "Onnikka, what's wrong?! What happen-" the line went dead.
