Scared to be lonely
Can love be stronger then pride? Or what is the high price of being right? These was the questions that went through both Dark Pit and (Y/n)'s heads, whether or not that the fighting and arguments were worth it. But somehow in the end, they always went back to loving one another. When they first started going out, Dark Pit was in his most vulnerable state. Falling for someone, someone so beautiful, caring and stubborn. Someone who would see him for who he was, other then a copy or a shadow of the hero. She saw him as a his own person, and now he had someone to fight for. The day he asked her, it was a very dark but beautiful day. The sky had a mixture of icy blue and light grey, and Dark Pit watched the girl who was starring into the small pond that was in the middle of the garden. It was about time that he told her what he felt, with small strides and shaking hands; he walked over to the girl.
"Hello, Dark Pit. What brings you out here?" (Y/n) said, looking back to see the Dark angel slowly approaching her.
"I wanted to ask you something." Dark Pit said,
"Oh? And what's that?" (Y/n) shifted to face him. Dark pit could feel his palms sweat, he felt his voice quiver and shake. He cleared his throat, looking down at (Y/n).
"This is not an easy thing for me to say, (Y/n). But I'll make it brief." Dark pit paused,
"Go on.." (Y/n) smiled, nervously.
"I have had feelings towards you, it makes me feel weak and it leaves me in a vulnerable state. I have never felt this way about anyone and I will protect you with my life if you accept my feelings. If not, then I still want to be friends with you." He finished, his sighed deeply after saying that all in one breath. (Y/n) then got up, she slowly approached the dark angel. She placed a hand on his cheek, Dark pit had a very confused look on his face but didn't stop her. (Y/n) smiled softly as she looked him in the eye, she then leaned in and kissed him. His eyes went wide in shock, but he then grabbed (Y/n) around the waist and pulled her closer.
And since then, he knew her loved her.
When you get past a certain point in a relationship, you become very familiar with one another and the desperate puppy love begins to fade. Dark Pit and (Y/n) had been getting into some arguments, Dark pit had a jealousy issue. But he would not admit that.
"I don't get why you're so upset! Cloud was just showing me a better way to swing my sword." (Y/n) said, her voice was raised. Dark pit rolled his eyes.
"And he had to have his arms around you, why?" He asked, sarcastically. (Y/n) huffed.
"Because I wasn't doing it right!"
"Whatever, Seemed like you were enjoying the attention anyway."
"Oh, fuck off!" (Y/n) yelled, she then turned around and walked away. Dark pit seemed a little shocked by what she said, he wanted to walk away too. But something stopped him, over two years of being in a relationship with this girl and he would always lose an argument. Never in his life had he ever lost an argument, and now..he hasn't even won one in over two years. Dark Pit shook his head, and ran up to catch up with (Y/n). To apologize to her.
There becomes a point in every relationship, when both side have to ask if they really love eachother or if they're just scared to be lonely. (Y/n) had felt the fire and passion in the first year of their relationship, but then that fire slowly started to dim. Picking fight and slamming doors had become their new thing, it used to be 'closer the better'. But now, all they do if fight, and then once they make up; everything is fine again. It was a circle.
She loved Dark pit, but her happiness was almost non existent. It was nights like thses, where she layed in his arms. Dark pit was fast asleep, but (Y/n) would just breath in his scent and think about their relationship. She looked up at her boyfriend, his eyes were closed tight. His mouth was slightly ajar, she smiled up at him; she then moved some hair away from his face.
Yep. The love was still there, no matter how she would try to think otherwise. She snuggled into his warmth, she sighed. Even though tomorrow was when they would battle against eachother, she knew that she felt safe in his arms. But wondered why there was so much arguments and walking away, wasn't a sign that it was over? Or was it just a rough patch?
There she stood, her team mate Samus was standing next to her.
"Don't worry, It'll be fun." Samus rested a hand on (Y/n)'s shoulder.
"It's not the fun I'm worried about. It's the safety."
Just then the battle was about to start, Master hand then spoke.
"We have a small problem with the safety shields, but if one goes off. We will end the battle immediately."
The safety shields were to prevent a fighter from getting seriously injured or killed from another's attack. (Y/n) sighed nervously, she then looked across the map to see her boyfriend Dark Pit and his teammate Pit.
"The battle will start in...

"GO!"
She then ran forward, she met Pit in the middle. She swung her sword, hitting him in his stomach, knocking him down. She then stopped, she smirked as Pit got back up. Pit then looked at her,
"Catch me If you can." She then turned around and ran. Pit then ran after her, he then stopped and pulled back his bow. (Y/n) turned around to see the white arrow aiming straight for her. She then started running back to him, he then let go. She took the opportunity to flip over the flying arrow, which made the crowd cheer. She went to hit Pit, but he put up his shield. She then heard a voice, it was Samus.
"Look out!" Samus then ran and jumped out of the way of Dark pits purple arrow. It was too late for (Y/n) to move. She then felt the shield glitch, her heart sank. Without any chance of reaction, she was hit by the arrow. The force of the chest ripping pain sent her back, she fell onto pit who caught her. The battle then stopped, blood oozed out of the open wound. Dark pits heart sank, he could hear nothing. But he saw Samus run towards his girlfriend, he saw the crown's reaction. But there was no sound. He saw people rushing to the scene, but he still couldn't move. He then felt someone's hand on his shoulder, he turned his head to see Cloud.
"Let's go." Cloud said, Dark Pit nodded. He then saw Samus in tears, with the other girls holding her. He then saw (Y/n) being ran to Dr Mario's medical room.
"She'll be okay." Cloud said.
"How do you know that?" Dark Pit asked, Cloud sighed.
"I'm not going go lie to you, she took a bad hit."
"How bad?"
"I saw her blood splatter over Pits clothes." Cloud had a sympathetic look on his face, Dark Pits hands went instantly to his mouth.
"Fuck."
"Let's go see here." Cloud said. Dark Pit nodded.
Cloud and Dark pit arrived at the medical ward, his heart started to race. They saw a couple of smashers in the waiting room, Samus, Link, Lucina, Palutana, and Pit. Pit was the first to see him.
"Dark pit." Pit said, everyone took notice. They all go up.
"How is she?" Cloud asked. The fighters looked at eachother, Samus and Lucina started to tear up.
"What? Tell me." Dark pit said, as he took a step closer. Palutana sighed.
"I don't know what to say but, " she paused, looking at the suspense in Darp Pits face. "She didn't make it."
The room started to spin, dark pit grabbed Clouds shoulder.
"What?" Was all he could say.
"I'm sorry." Lucina sniffed.
"I..I.. killed my babygirl?" He stuttered. Everyone went silent, the girls started to cry. Cloud hung his head.
"I have to tell master hand." Palutana said, getting up and walking away.
