When I woke up Kayden was gone. I checked the clock by my bed which said 5:30 AM. My headache had died down but my ribs hurt. I took out my iPhone and called my dad. "Hello? Aly?" He asked. "Hey Dad. Is Michael home from camp?" My little brother, Michael, left for camp about 3 months ago. We have a pretty good relationship even though I'm 9 years older than him. "He's going to be back in about an hour. Do you want me to bring him over?" I answered with a simple "Yes." And then told him I loved him. He hung up and I called the nurse in. This time it was not the same nurse that as last time. This nurse was younger. Probably early 30's. "Hi! I'm Jessica! What do you need sweetie?" she said in a perky voice. "I just wanted to know when I can be released." She looked down at the clipboard in her hands and flipped through a couple pages."It looks like you have an X-ray today and if there's no problems, you should be good to go!" She smiled at me and I thanked her as she left the room. I sat back and turned on the T.V. I decided on a random procedural cop show.
