Chapter 2

It's been a month since my last encounter with Jennie I'm trying to erase the fact that there was something special on that moment. My mind never forgot that scenario that keeps on repeating every time I close my eyes. All I can see is Jennie kissing me torridly. I turn my head to the commotion happening around the cafeteria.

"The Pres and the hottie broke up!" someone shouted on top of his lungs like he wants it to be heard by the world. I raised my brow understanding what he just said.

"It's time I guess" I muttered silently then fixed my things and left the cafeteria.

The chirping of birds filled the area, the wind makes the leaves of the trees dance into a rhythm, and the clouds was clear today. I closed my eyes and inhaled the fresh air.

"Stop crying you look ugly" she stopped sobbing at my sudden interruption. I squatted down and reached for my handkerchief in my back pocket. Her eyes are glistening with tears. I look into her eyes like she meant the world to me. "Can't nobody hurt my girl again" I pulled her into a hug and she sobbed continuously.

We're in the park right now sitting on a bench. I took her with me away from school for her not to be bugged by the gossips going around the campus. She looks vulnerable like she's about to break anytime.

"Tha-ank y-you but why are you doing this Lisa?" she told me quietly. I stood up in my seat and went in front of her "Date me" I said straight on her face. She was startled to what I just told her then I saw her gummy smile. She let out a soft laugh and shakes her head like I am unbelievable. Damn what I could give to see those every day.

"You're are going too fast you know I'm still broken. We can be friends for the mean time since I don't want to hurt you and rush things out" she honestly said.

"I'm just kidding c'mon let's go get some ice cream kid!" I brushed her hair and she winced at my sudden gesture. We hopped in my car and drove to the nearest gasoline station cos you know there's a lot of good stuffs in there. I handed her the milk ice cream and I saw how puzzled she is that I know what her favourite flavour is.

"I never told you what I want how come? She asked. "Let's just say you are kind of popular Miss President and a talk around the campus" praying she won't figure out I got a crush on her to know details like that. I looked to my side and bit my lower lip to suppress my smile. Fuck! I'm feeling blue in here help me God!

We were sitting in my car's hood while eating our ice cream. The sun is near to set so we stayed that way while listening to "Ice Ice Baby-Vanilla Ice" from my car's stereo. I was banging my head at the beat so is she. I guess we have the same taste in music huh.

"Now that the party is jumping
With the bass kicked in, the fingers are pumpin'
Quick to the point, to the point no faking
I'm cooking MC's like a pound of bacon" we sang the same and we looked at each other laughing.

I went away from the car and started dancing at the beat's chorus. She was laughing so hard cos of my funny movements. Just random steps riding along with the rhythm I guess. The sunset illuminated in her eyes as I saw how she looks at it since I am facing my back on it. I smiled at how my heart beats abnormally by the beautiful thing in front of me. She's busy watching the sunset not noticing that I've been watching her glow.

Lying down at my bed I heard my phone beeped "Good night Lis you saved my day". I let out a laugh oh my god! I remembered the thing she gave me after I took her home awhile ago I stood up and searched for it on my pants pockets cos I've changed my clothes already.
