Katara's POV:
As I walked outside Iroh's tea palace, I had noticed Aang pondering about what would happen next. It had been a few weeks since I told him how conflicted I was over my feelings, partly because there was so much going on. Aang had to focus on defeating Ozai, and now that he has, I owed him an answer.
"Aang?" I called
"Everything is going to be different now, isn't it?" he said
"Hopefully for the better" I said cheekily
I looked at him, and how much he had accomplished. He had fulfilled his destiny, and I knew that I wanted to be a part of whatever happens next. As we gazed into each other's eyes, I knew that I had feelings for him and decided to take a leap of faith.
As I leaned in, so did he. As the sun set, our lips touched. It felt as if all the stars had aligned. But after a moment or two, another memory jolted into my head.
Zuko. He had jumped in front of Azula's strike of lightning. He had saved my life, in more ways than one. Every time I look at him, all I feel is happiness. Just his smile, wait just his laugh, can make me forget everything. Now I knew that my choice would no longer be simple.
