D L nHe says those words as if he's absolutely certain of the culprit's mayhem. Henry isn't a petty detective after all. He studies the potential holes of the butchery examination before he throw plasters on it.
Maybe it's because of his frankness that silenced the whole room. Henry throws accusations here and there and what he'd thrown were actually supported by facts later and who knows how did he get these things. People, as I felt, were engaged to the thought that Henry proved the connection of the restaurant to the killings, explained the unusual happenings and extracted guilt from employees based on his statements that made me realize that people are anticipating that he's going to prove the accusations he made to the flyer girl again.
However, no one can read the face of the flyer girl who composed herself after such blame was thrown upon her. It's like all of embarassment, nervousness and anxiousness she may be feeling right now are all hidden in a box of her insides and no one would dare to open it.
Henry leaned to one side and observed her for a second before proceeding in a calm manner, "I want to see your phone, from your khaki pants."
Finally she changed her demeanor. She closed her eyes and produced a slight breathe. She put her hand on her left pocket when Henry interrupted her.
"It's particularly in your right pocket if I'm not mistaken."
She didn't look to everyone nor to Henry. She started to lick her lips at a blink of her eye and although I could now see from her gestures a form of hesitation, she finally put her hand in the right pocket. Everyone is looking at her as if they're watching a movie's climax. She hesitated again but when Henry's eyes narrowed down to her, she get ahold of what's inside her pocket and pulled it out. Without looking on her smartphone, she opened it using her thumb imprint. She stretched her arm where the phone's in as if she's waiting for somebody to get her phone before she change her mind.
Maybe she knows what's in store in her phone that Henry also knows. Perhaps it's a secret which maybe she further realized, a mistake for not giving a good riddance of evidence which kept recorded by a smart device. Now she's facing the consequences of a proof that could be used against her.
Henry walked to the phone and slowly get it, "If you wish to not speak anything then let's have your sound recordings speak for you then. In front of these witnesses."
She just heaved a sigh as a reply. Maybe she wish to say something but any form of denying these accusations of her could only lead to heavier consequences if she thought. If I imagine her position and I left a significant mark that could identify my guilt, I would be crazy but seeing her in the most calm state of mind, she must be waiting that help could get to her like magic. Maybe too, she's surrendering the proof in order to wait for her turn to explain her side using the evidence.
It's been a week since our grand opening!"
I don't quite remember kung saan ko napakinggan ang ganitong statement but I'm sure that I already heard it. I'm trying to recall as of where did I first encountered it.
