As i close the door behind me i notice that clothes have already been laid out for me on the bed but i decide not to put them on. I sit on the end on the bed for a few minutes and take a deep breath “ I can do this, I can win” i tell myself and go for the door. when i open my door Pearl is coming out of her’s so we walk together to the dinning cart, no one saying anything until we reach the table
“hello you two, sit and eat” Laurel says and we sit
“this is your mentor Annie Cresta” Laurel moves to the side with her hands out as if shes showing off a new car but from behind Laurel steps a beautiful, thin women with long black hair and soft green eyes, maybe in her twenties
“hi annie” Pearl says while reaching her hand out for her to shake it but Annie just ignores her, wait no its more as if she didn’t even see us, as if she’s in another world and that is when i realize our mentor is the tribute that won her games after it got flooded because she was the only one who could swim. She’s the tribute that went completely mad after she saw her district partner get his head chopped off. “Our mentors some crazy chick” I say loud enough so everyone, including Annie can hear me.
