I wake up with a start, a slight scream leaving my mouth as I feel myself being tossed around in the small barrel I've been forced into just hours before.
Luffy and I set out to the sea just hours before, the same as our brothers have done before at the ages of 17. Yet somehow, with Luffy's luck, we managed to run into a giant whirlpool just an hour after we set sail, which destroyed our little boat completely, forcing us to take refuge into a small water barrel.
I let out another shriek as I feel the barrel tumbling down what I can only assume are stairs. I clung onto the oblivious, sleeping Luffy tightly as the barrel finally comes to a stop.
A sigh of relief escapes my mouth as I decide to wait a few minutes to see if the coast is clear.
Just as I manage to calm my breath back down I hear footsteps approaching as someone starts to talk in low voice and then the barrel is being rolled again.
I groan, closing my eyes at the uncomfortable sensation, feeling like this morning's breakfast was about to leave my stomach as I hear a much stronger voice practically shout something before they stop the barrel, putting it up right once again.
I feel Luffy's arms around me tighten and I instinctively open my eyes only to see him already smiling at me.
He doesn't waste any more time so he stands up, breaking off the lid of the barrel in the process.
"What a great nap!"He shouts out in happiness and I hear a loud thud as he stretches out his arms.
I giggle slightly as I stand up myself. Climbing out of the barrel I start to stretch my legs, arms, and neck, sighing in content of finally being freed from the small barrel.
I smile at the people around me, looking down at the poor man Luffy just knocked down. Following my field of vision Luffy also notices the man on the floor, his smile disappearing as he looks at him in a weird, confused way.
"What's this?" he then turns to the guys in front of us. "Who are you guys?"
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TWO?!"
"That guy is going to catch a cold if he sleeps on the floor," Luffy points out, looking down at the man with a concerned look on his face.
"That was your fault," the guys cry as Luffy climbs out of the barrel.
I giggled slightly, walking around the room as one of the guys point a knife at Luffy's neck.
"You punk! You should know better than to screw around with pirates!"
"I'm starving, is there any food around?" Luffy complains, completely ignoring the prates in front of us.
"I think I can smell something from that way," I point towards the tall door at the other side of the room.
"Will you two listen to what am I saying!!!"
"You little shit!"
Two of the guys get ready to strike as the little kid on the ground looks completely terrified.
Luffy looks at the guy in confusion, bringing up his fist as they're about to cut him, breaking both of their swords in half.
I snort in amusement, watching as the men sit terrified on the floor, looking at each other and then back at Luffy, who is just watching them both with a confused expression.
"What'd you do that for?"
"Wh-Who are you?!"
"Me? I'm Monkey D. Luffy, and that's Jiyuu! Nice to meet you!"
