The sound of trees brushing the windows and the bustling sound made from the breakfast troley outside the cabin woke Radhika's slumber.

Rubbing her eyes, she got up groggily trying to register her surroundings. Its unfamiliar! Where am I?

She was about to get another fright trip, when Sahil appeared from the washroom wiping his face.

"Hey! Good morning." He greeted with a smile.

"Sahil?" Radhika's shock face wasn't surprising to him.

"Yes. That would be me, Radhika. How are you feeling?" he asked grabbing her wrist and checking her pulse before she could protest.

"I.. am.. Where.. Am.. I?"

"My cabin. And you are sleeping in my bed." He informed her after checking her pulse. Thankfully normal.

"Why am I here?"

Sahil was silent for a moment, he leaned down in front of her and stroked her cheeks. She was definitely surprised. When did they get so close?

"You had a panic attack last night. Your mother is admitted.. Do you remember?"

Panic attack? She hadn't had it in years! Oh God!

Mother?

"Mumma!" Radhika was about to sprint when Sahil held her arms. Standing in front of her, he placed his hands on her shoulders and stared into her eyes.

"Listen to me very carefully," he ordered. Like a puppet in his fingers, she nodded with a gulp.

"Your mother is scheduled for surgery today evening. There is an aneurysm in her heart that needs to be repaired and a graft needs to be placed in its place. It's an open-chest surgery and it's a long procedure. Once the surgery is done, she will be fine. Chest pains will reduce and she will be under observation for some time with regular check-ups. Have you understood so far?"

Radhika shut her eyes close processing everything he said. She knew the medical terms and understood what he meant to the point. "Yes." She mumbled.

"Okay. Visiting hours are still two hours away. And the operation is in the evening. Your brother and sister-in-law are in the resting room for ICU visitors, probably sleeping or waiting. Do you understand?"

"Yes."

"Good. Now that we have made these things clear, go brush your teeth. I will get you some tea and coffee for me. Okay?"

Radhika didn't really have an objection. She let him take the lead and did as told. Her headache wasn't helping either. She felt heavy-headed and had no memory of last night apart from excusing herself to get some air. Preeti was the last person she spoke to. How did she end up in Sahil's room?
