The morning sun was shining brightly at 9 AM and Radhika found herself swaying her hips and mouthing the lyrics of Rangeela re sensuously.
The kitchen wasn't a total mess like the past days. At least she was slowly learning to keep it organized. Even though Radhika excelled in cooking, she was a total zero when it came to neatness. The Aloo Paratha that was the heating in the stove left its aroma in the entire house and of course more than the small speaker that was playing Rangeela re song, it was Radhika's voice that echoed loudly almost waking everyone up on a Sunday morning.
The coffee brewing on the adjacent stove made her cringe. She hated the smell of coffee, but did she have a choice? She sighed loudly, once she was done with coffee, she would prepare her delicious cup of tea and devour the taste for at least an hour!
"I AM LATE!" Came the voice disturbing her lyrics and her mental rant. Radhika turned around to find Sahil running towards the kitchen with a towel wrapped around his waist, his shirt half-buttoned in his torso and his hair was a wet mess!
Radhika rolled her eyes and stopped him from crashing right into her. Instead of standing in his place, he wrapped his hands around her waist and pouted as Radhika tried to squeeze out of his hold, "I am late!"
"So? What do you want me to do? Did I ask you to work on Sundays?" She asked raising her eyebrows.
Sahil placed a sloppy kiss on both her cheeks and said, "I need my morning-"
"-Coffee! I know." She rolled her eyes, finally wriggling free of his grip. She went back to the stove and poured the boiling hot cup of coffee into his favourite mug. "Here."
They were polar opposites on many accounts. But when it came to beverages, they both liked it hot. She liked a hot cup of tea and he liked a hot cup of coffee. She preferred fresh fruit juice and he was a fan of milkshakes.
"Radhi.." He called tapping on her shoulders as she threw another aloo paratha on the tawa.
"What?" She asked dropping a lot of ghee on the paratha.
"That ghee.. Do you even know how many calories-" He started to lecture her but she cut him off, "I don't care. This is how I like it and this is how everyone in this house likes it, except you."
"I agree," Sameer said coming into the kitchen. Sahil glared at his brother.
"You don't even eat half of it!" Sahil complained. Sameer grinned, "I eat as much as I need and I love her cooking. Stop lecturing her always!"
Radhika side-hugged Sameer and shuffled his hair. "Aw! Sammy boy, I will prepare special cookies for you today!"
Sameer hi-fived Radhika, "Thanks Bhabhi, you are so sweet! And I will help you in baking them."
