"Selene. Please let me explain," Ace said running after me. I had been checked out of the hospital and was walking outside. "Leave me alone," I said on the verge of tears. "I'm sorry," he said grabbing my shoulders. I shook him off of me and ran down the hall. I heard him sigh and turned back at him. He turned and walked back towards my "dad". How could they lie to me like that? I wondered. I turned back around and ran into someone. "I'm sorry," I said quickly. They laughed and smiled. "It's ok," I looked up into the guys black eyes and took a step back. "I'm Selene," I said. "I'm Gray. Nice to meet you," he said shaking my hand. "Gray!" a girl said storming up to us. Gray sighed and shot me an apologetic smile before turning towards the girl. "Yes?" he said. "What have I told you about talking to other girls?" she asked while glaring at me. I held my hand up and chuckled. "I'm not interested in him. If that makes you feel better," I said while laughing. Gray put a hand over his heart and I shrugged. "Well, good. Because he's mine. What's your name? You're really pretty," the girl said coming next to me. "My name is Selene," I said as she touched my hair. "Mine is Kiirstin. Your hair is really soft," she said. "Thanks?" I asked. She laughed. "Sorry. I'm like on my 3rd cup of coffee? My little sister is having surgery and I drink coffee when I'm nervous," she said. "What happened to her?" I asked. "She rode her bike down a hill and fell off of it and broke her arm. They said her bone wasnt aligned so she needed surgery," she explained. I nodded and looked at the floor. "If you don't mind me asking, why are you here?" Kiirstin asked. "I passed out for a couple of hours as I've been told," I said. "Oh. Are you ok?" Gray asked. "I'm fine," I said chuckling softly. "Are you two flirting?" Kiirstin asked looking upset. "No," Gray and I said at the same time. "Do you have your phone?" Kiirstin asked. I nodded. She motioned for me to give it to her and I did. She typed in her number and called it. Her phone started ringing and she hung up. "I'll text you later," she said. "Okay," I said as they walked away. "Selene!" I heard someone scream behind me. I turned around and sighed. Why me?
