Ash's POV

Mitan Region

A/N Mitan Region is based on the state of Michigan where I grew up. There is no official Pokemon league so it's typically used for tournaments.
"Why here of all places..." I look around at the Graffiti covered buildings next to the Pokemon tournament stadium. On the side of a building close to the stadium was a giant Pokémon made from graffiti. I tried to scan my Pokédex on the image but it didn't work. At least I tried... It kinds looked like a Brown Pyroar with Wings...
After exploring the Area for a bit I pulled out my dusty diary and found a little brown bench next door to Little Snipperita Pokemon Arena, finally writing the next section of my diary.
The last time I pulled this out was on the airplane 3 or 4 years ago when I applied for a job at the school.
I had arrived just the other day with my friend Ethan. This region is very dangerous due to the lack of a Pokémon league and therefore no insurance to the family's if something happens to the trainer. Due to this this region has became a major source of strength and an attraction point to anybody looking to get stronger. it's voted the number one training area for strength! I guess they forgot about MT. Silver because it wasn't even listed.
Apparently Ethan visits this region a lot. He tells me how he had met Lyra again here and how they had their honeymoon off the beaches of this regions Supreme lake. Cruise ships from the Unova visit this region often and were actually discovered by the Unovians or People born in Unova. I never thought Unovians were a romantic type of people. They've all seemed to me to have weird hobbies and like to call people little kids...
As I walk alone throughout the city's streets and pathways, where boxes and boxes of supplies for the upcoming tournament were being brought in on the docks, I wished Serena could have come with me to watch the tournament. But she continually told me how Eve was not in the best condition to watch a loud tournament.
It took a lot of convincing from Ethan and, surprisingly, Serena to go participating in the tournament. We were finally running low in our financial status from Serena's break of being the Kalos Queen and Me having no job because of the school had burned down.
Just Thinking off the school made me smile, I remembered Greninja's efforts. I decided to thank him.
"Greninja I choose you!" I smiled as Greninja materialized in front of me. I stand up and activate our (barely) functional communication aura.
"Greninja" I nod to him as he nods back
"Yee?" Greninja Replied in his simple tone and signature nod.
"Thank you, " I pause as Greninja stares and nods putting his hand up in the air.
"You don't need to raise your hand for a question..." I laugh as Greninja smiles back "What is it?"
