Walking towards the preparation exam for the battle to begin with a smile on my face. I'm excited because I'm about to fulfill a promise I made so many years ago, to my old traveling companion, who is now the Champion of Hoenn, Max Maple.
Me and Ethan decided our Team Name would be Heart&Soul Team. I liked the sound of it and Ethan wouldn't let me down if I agreed so we stuck with it.
"So it's time for us to battle after all these years!" I grinned in excitement, as a teacher, their wasn't much battling for me to go around as there was in a tournament. However I still have to watch out for my self in public places, as some people, after all that's happened, still want to throw me in jail for the fake betrayal against Lusamine. Just thinking about it removed the smile I had on my face.
I hand the inspecter for my poke balls and verified he had nothing to do with Team Rocket (Yeah I'm learning) and go sit down on a couch to think of this upcoming match.
"Hmm..." I pondered trying to think of strategic play for this battle.
I'm sure Max is strong, being a champion and all of Hoenn...It only took him 4 tries in that league but he did it eventually.
Max knows my battling style, however, and Crystal is no pushover either according to Paul, her father. He told me not to hold back either...
"Hmm, " I whipped a drip of sweat away from my head in the waiting room "Man, Thinking is hard..."
"Then stop thinking" Ethan's Voice popped in my head.
"What did I say about popping into my brain?" I yelled at him through His Psyaura Connection.
"Don't do it unless it's time to eat, fight, training, or emergencies" Ethan replies in Psyaura while turning the corner where I can see him. "All the Basics" Ethan then began shutting off the Psyaura connection and laughed "and it's time to fight!" He grinned in excitement rubbing his brown hair with his old gold headband he wore as a child.
Throw back Thursday much...
"Is it already time for that battle?" I look at the clock on my phone.
Huh guess it is...
"Alright Teleporting now!" Ethan appears in front of me shutting off his Psyaura connection.
"Alright!" Ethan gives me a smile and a thumbs up in pure excitement, "We haven't truely battled together in years since your sister—" Ethan said until I shut him up.
"Don't mention Her" I Growled at the mention of my sister.
Me and my sister have some very bad blood going on. Her name is Gala Ketchum, she has very sharp and long hair that seemingly makes a bow tie together at the ends. She is not a good person, if Lusamine was actually murdered, Gala would be the true culprit with my last name. Her witty toungue could make almost anyone get mad, and surprisingly she's an mix between Aura and Divine, something I don't understand, due to my heritage. My mom wasn't anything like that, at least what I knew about. I honestly need to lay out a family tree...
