Magnus walked behind the soldier and wished he could stop walking so fast. His knees still burned from the injury but his anger was bothering him more. That girl didn't have any manners; she had been so rude to him - the prince. He knew it was wrong to think of always expecting to get the attention of the prince but even if he wasn't the prince, he knew he would have felt the same way. Now he will show her what a prince is. Now he will tell his father what had happened and his father will fulfil his wish to get her punished. Punished is the word he would love to use for her. But still, her behaviour was unusual. Was she just mental or is that how she felt? He ignored that thought, Ren was beside him. He was quiet and Magnus was sure Ren knew how angry he felt.
He reached in front of the huge archaic door of the palace decorated with classical designs and two guards pushed it with all their might to get it to open. Magnus marched inside in the front garden.
'Prince Magnus,' called his dad's voice warmly, Magnus tensed. He tensed every time he heard his dad's formal voice- he never liked it and preferred the soft voice that always joked and made him laugh, even when the joke didn't make sense. Magnus gulped and went marching toward his dad.
'Dad I want to say you something important,' he said hurriedly. 'Xander raised an eyebrow.
'A girl- a girl at the market FOUGHT with me,' he said spitting his anger outside. His father was impassive.
'First of all, she crashed into me and I got injured-'
'You weren't looking in the front Mag-Er ...Prince, it's your fault,' Ren interrupted.
'Well, she wasn't looking as well. Instead of helping with my injury she fought with ME!' he argued annoyed with the interruption. Ren was on her side. His friend was on her side. Magnus looked at his dad who made an annoying face and closed his eyes. He exhaled so loudly that Magnus could see the disappointment.
'Ren, go outside,' 'Xander ordered. Ren bowed and went outside. 'What do you want Magnus? Why don't you understand that you have grown? You are a prince and now, you are in a childish fight.'
'First of all this is NOT a childish fight and I know I am a prince. So I want that girl punished.' Magnus kept his chin slightly up.
'Okay, then kill that girl,' 'Xander said really normally as it was a really simple thing.
Magnus looked at 'Xander, worries crawled up in his body. No, he didn't want her to be dead. No that's not what he wanted. Magnus scanned his dad's expression, judging if this was some sort of joke but his face was impassive.
'No...' he breathed.
'Thank goodness, at least you won't do that. Look Magnus.' 'Xander placed his cold hand on Magnus's cheek. 'You will be a king one day. You have to be wise, kind, merciful, smart and all the other things that a good ruler has. Lots of people will be against you; you will have to persevere through them or just try to look at their side. You have to be wise.'
Magnus looked at him, his dad didn't understand him. Even if Magnus somehow forgets that he is the prince, the way the girl acted wasn't politeness and it was wrong. He removed his father's hand that still lay on his cheek and headed towards his room with anger deep inside. His father didn't understand. He just didn't understand.
'You haven't asked me, why I have called you yet,' 'Xander called from behind which made Magnus's feet stop.
'The Rebulous and Debelous had been made.....though the overload of magic destroyed Debelous.' There was a disappointment in his voice but Magnus felt joy and wondered if his dad was hiding his feelings.
