'Are you serious?' Ren asked.

'No, I'm kidding... Of course, I'm serious,' Magnus said. Magnus had told Ren everything about Zoralle.

'I'm glad, you did that,' Ren managed to say.

'But, you know I want to free more slaves. They all must hate us for not doing anything for them.'

'Yeah, but how exactly are you planning to do this?'

'I have completely no idea,' Magnus admitted, frankly through his teeth.

Magnus walked dragging his horse with him in the empty streets. There were small huts looking dry as ever due to the heat. Dust was all around them. Dried leaves stuck in the corners of the huts. People who lived there were probably gone to do their work. Magnus looked at the roof of the huts, even a spider could pass through the holes in them. So obviously rainwater or sunlight can easily pass through it if they were weather changes. He looked around, sorrow filling hit his gut. All these people were living in such hard conditions and he was just there getting golden objects every day. He didn't want to ride his horse as he didn't want to repeat what happened last time and also he couldn't be bothered riding.

They went to a street where there was no one to be seen. Magnus told Ren all about his worries. He told him about King Joan Terry and what his dad said. Surely, he could trust Ren. He was also certain that no one was listening to them.

'You are changing,' Ren finally avowed.

'How?'

'Like you were a cool dude and never cared about what was happening in the city and now... you are more like a king.'

Magnus laughed and then went quiet when realizing that Ren wasn't joking. 'Seriously? Look I am just worried and shocked on how unfair Joan is.'

Ren gave Magnus a that's-what-he-was-exactly-talking-about look.

'Also, I am still the cool dude.'

Soon, the air around them started getting warmer as they walked and their noses were filled with the smell of grass and earth. The fresh and cold breeze touched the prince slightly making him shiver. They strolled for a while and eventually stopped right in front of the mountains area. They stood there watching the mountains area. The mountains were covered with dark green grass and it was reflected on the river that lazed in below it. In front of the river, hundreds of people were laughing and playing and some people swam in the water. The mountains were the only place in Eurian where people could come to enjoy. There were sword fights, hand to hand combat battles, dragon rides, a parlour, a lot of dances and plays. There were also many things that Magnus himself didn't even know about. Magnus looked around; his eyes landed on a girl.

'Zoralle,' whispered Magnus. Ren glanced at the direction Magnus was staring at. Zoralle looked at them and came near them. Magnus pretended that he didn't see her, she looked sort of annoyed by how Magnus ignored her but her expression changed into a forced smile. Zoralle cleared her throat.

'Hi,' she said to them, probably in the hope of starting a conversation. Magnus looked at her and replied back by saying the same.

Magnus could see her gulp. She looked like she wanted to say something but didn't know how to. Finally, she pressed her lips together. 'Prince Magnus, I wanted to say... I should've said what I said last time when the pots broke. I mean I shouldn't have-'

'It's okay,' Magnus interrupted. 'There was no problem at all. So, how is... your new life going? For a pretty lady, I must say,' Magnus said before she could say something else. Looking into her crystal blue eyes, he bowed and gave her his hand hoping she would grab it. Zoralle really did look different. She wasn't wearing a dress anymore. She had tight brown riding clothes on and her brunette hair was open, flying as she moved. The way Magnus said everything made Zoralle's expression change into a frustrated look that she didn't even bother to hide.
