Zoralle took continuous breaths, her chest was heaving as she had run all the way. She felt like she would collapse at any moment. Her knees were hurting by bending in an awkward position. She kept her head on the box she was behind taking in a deep breath to relax. She had to halt there, she had to get a dragon to save the king. She peeked her head out looking at the soldier that was standing right there near the dragons half asleep. The soldier opened his eyes sleepily rubbing it and yawning. She moved her head back like pulling a rein and stopped herself from breathing. Zoralle wasn't going to let the soldier see her or even make a tiny noise to alert him. She sat there, properly. She desired that Magnus and Ren were with her too. It hadn't even been a day and she needed them. It was not like every day when she was stealing something. Well, she was doing this for Magnus and for the king. Besides she was the one who told Magnus and Ren not to come. Due to their clothes and jewellery, they could be easily be recognized and would be too conspicuous in the night time. She couldn't even believe that the prince of Eurian was her friend.
'One out of a million people get this opportunity,' something Leo will say. Zoralle smiled. What will happen if Leo figured out that Magnus and Ren were her friends? How he would brag about. But honestly, Zoralle didn't care. Spending not even a whole day with them, she realized that they were more like normal people. When she was small and had to go to work, she used to think about how lucky rich people were. Yet she didn't know that everyone had problems in life even if it was the prince. She knew she had to go and meet her family before going to Magnus and Ren. They would certainly understand her situation. She took one last deep breath and looked at the soldier again. He was sleeping. She reminded herself that she had to be quick. She swerved her head left and right. She used her dirty palms to get off the spot where she was from. Slowly, she came on her knees and ran, surprisingly making no sound at all. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach as she ran through the heavy wind. She had to get three of the dragons without the soldier knowing, lest be caught.
...
Magnus reached near the dragons, feeling indisposed and exhausted. The cold wind brushed on his sides, leaving him frozen. His head too heavy and stupefied to consider anything around. He had just left his dad. Just left him like abandoning someone, when he should have been there to support him. He reminded himself that it was to cure his dad. He kept a hand on the dragon that he had before feeling its bumpy yet smooth scale. It was still dark they could get away and reach there. Couldn't they? Thoughts hunted him. How would he do this and will this even make a difference?
'Are you sure about this?' Zoralle asked.
'Yes,' Magnus uttered feeling as the words in his mouth made perfect sense and the certainty in his voice confirmed his thoughts that asked him the same question.
'Given the fact that earlier you could have died,' Ren added slowly. Magnus felt annoyed but his tiredness won over and he was too tired to even make an annoying face. Whatever, Ren said was right.
'You're right!' Magnus admitted in a whispering voice so that the dragon couldn't hear him. 'This could have killed me last time!'
'Can you stop blaming on others, please?' Zoralle asked annoyed. 'Just, for once ask him politely.'
'Can't we get another dragon?' Magnus asked.
Zoralle kept her hands on her hips making a screwed and twisted face.
'Alright, Alright.' Magnus said. He had to do this fast for his dad. There were the same dragons he had in the race.
He dropped to his knees, Feeling the coldness and the bumpiness of the sand beneath his knees. He shivered and looked at the dragon.
'Can you please help me today?' Magnus began as the dragon looked away. He kept a hand gently on the dragon's rough head. 'Look, I get it. You had a bad experience with me but...I promise that won't happen again. Will you help me? I really need you.'
The dragon looked directly into Magnus's eyes. Magnus looked straight into the dragons nut-brown eyes, feeling water in his eyes as he imagined his dad on the bed, groaning in pain. Magnus closed his eyes so that the water in his eyes didn't leak and looked somewhere else not able to keep the panic inside him. He knew if he looked into the dragon's eyes any more than he already did, he would have cried.
Magnus snorted and glanced at the dragon, who didn't look as vexed as before. Magnus smiled and got on the dragon as Ren and Zoralle did the same. His chest expanded with pride and confidence. He was going to do this!
Let's GO! he thought.

This is my first time doing this in the book. Wattpad is sort of new to me and I barely even know what I'm doing. All I wanted to do was to thank all the people reading my boring book. It means a lot to me. I also wanted to say please feel free to comment (even if it's not really a good one) and vote if you like my story. Negative comments are allowed and if there is a mistake in my writing or if you don't like the way something is written, please feel free to comment about that. After all, this is my learning experience. Also sorry that I haven't been publishing recently. I had a lot of school work to do. Sometimes I hate school work!
