16- why don't we hurry up

"Jasmine?" I ask once having gotten up from my spot on the floor I had been bumped down to.

"Adalyn? Aiden?" She too asks obviously just as confused.

"Zach Herron?!" I say even more shocked seeing the boy who seemed to have appeared behind her

"Um Jack Avery?" Jack asks confused standing further behind than my brother and I.

"Ok what's going on?" Zach says trying to keep up with all of us

"That's what I want to know" I say looking jasmine up and down

"I just bumped into Zach here and he was showing me around, what's with you?" Jasmine asks looking at the two guys around me.

"Well Aiden is my brother..." I say stubbornly

"No mi digas, I meant why's he here; and how y'all hanging with Jack Avery." Jasmine explains annoyed

"Fine, I don't know either I just found them here." I huff with an eye roll as you can't tell I don't like that they didn't want to tell me yet.

"We're right here ya know" Aiden reminds us as jack stands back not knowing what to say

"Wait a minute jack is she.." Zach starts to say before jack sprints into action and throws himself at the younger boy to cover his mouth from speaking.

"Shhh we'll talk later, all of us." Jack tells him with a warning glare to keep the confused boy's mouth shut and quiet.

"Yeah we better." I mumble warning myself a glare from my brother

"Wait Jas where did you go? Y'all left me alone." I ask kind of annoyed but worried and confused more than anything

"Just the bathroom but that proved to be way harder than I thought." She laughed along with Zach to which I give a weird look.

"Well did you?" I ask laughing

"Yeah, Zach helped me out." She admits blushing. "After hitting me with a door thou." We all laugh as Zach gives a guilty look and jasmine reassured him she's fine and it's just a joke.

"Dude, you're unbelievable." Jack shakes his head laughing along with the rest of us.

"So what now." Aiden asks unfortunately standing between me and jack.

"Well we're already late." Jack says looking at his watch.

"The boys are going to kill you." Aiden laughs as me and jasmine share looks to realize how insane this is.

"I think they're distracted enough." Zach laughs along with Jack confusing Aiden as much as jas and I just were.

"Ok then..." Aiden says while they're having their laughing fit

"We should go though, Corbyn will still kill us." Jack tells us with a gleaming smile

"Yeah, you two know your way back right?" Aiden turns to ask us now smiling with his friends.

"You're not coming with us." I ask a little harsher than he was expecting

"I was going to go with the boys..." Aiden explains hesitantly

"Aw come on Aiden you too cool for us now or something?" Jasmine asks playfully but Aiden seems to take it seriously, and starts to give in.

"Well I guess I could walk with you guys..." Aiden starts to say guilty bringing a little remorse in my stone, black heart.

"She kidding, go with you're friends it's not like we're going to get kidnapped or something." I say with a playful eye roll while shoving him lightly for ever buying into the idea.

"No it's fine I guess she right I mean jasmine did manage to get extremely lost trying to find a bathroom." Aiden laughs going to stand next me and jasmine in the surprisingly wide hallway.

"Hey, I met her from it though. Now thinking about it, I wouldn't mind if she got 'lost' more often." Zach flirts with a wink as a nervous hand rummages through his hair. I've always said his cheeks are rosy colored but right now they're more like flaming red. Jasmine laughs shyly obviously a little embarrassed from Aiden being there but something gives me a feeling she doesn't mind that much.

"Anyways, we should go." Aiden says and contemplate walking away before stopping. "If it's alright with you don't tell the others anything just yet." He tells all of us. I assume he means Brook and Violet but I'm not sure since he told the guys the same but I guess I'll go with it.

I give the guys a final goodbye and turn to walk away along with Aiden and jasmine before Getting gently pulled back by a certain ramen haired boy.

"Hey, I don't do this often but I'd be like really, really nice to get to know you." Jack smiles handing me his phone ready in the section to add a new contact. I give him a smile while glancing back quickly to see Aiden and jasmine walking away before hesitantly typing my number in his phone.

It's time to take a chance and who better with, right?

I write my name with 'Miami concert' in parenthesis just in case and shoot myself a text from his phone so I can have his number too. I think for a moment and decide to be Clever and text my number 'I'd be nice to get to know you too ;)' before finally handing him his phone back satisfied. He smiles at me brightly as he sees my message and I lightly bite my lip and turn back around with a wave before I mess up the interaction with my awkwardness.

Well that went wayyy better than I thought.

I walk with my brother and friend honestly feeling a little stupid but like in a good way before jasmine opens her purse in surprise

"Oh my god." She mouths before showing me the small paper that had a number messily written on it with Zach's name under and a poorly drawn winking face. I guess he must have been in a hurry, or really bad at using A pen.

"I guess we both really won tonight." I chuckle holding my phone close in a giggly school girl moments I will never live down. God I hate myself right now. Aiden gives us a weird look obviously not really paying attention anymore to what's going on before finishing our silent walk to the line where Aiden left to God's knows where and jasmine and I awaited our turn to see the boys once again.
