"This is a bad idea, no- this is the worst idea you've ever conjured up." Minghao says as he brushes the hair out of his eyes aggressively. Soonyoung sighs and rolls his eyes.

"Shut up and eat your lunch, child." Soonyoung spits out. The younger glares at him.

"Please Soonyoung I do not need a personal guard, we already have Seokmin!" He tries to convince him. "Um," Chan starts, raising an eyebrow. "Seokmin's my butler if you haven't noticed my dearest brother." Chan says and continuing to spoon some food into his mouth.

"But-" Minghao stutters out.

"Minghao-"

"Look!" He stands up and pushes the curtains roughly out of the way of the big window. Rain is pouring down heavily.

"It's basically a monsoon out there, which means you can't-"

"Minghao." Soonyoung walks up to him unamusedly and shows him an item in his hand.

"Do you see this?" He gestures to the item. "This, is an umbrella, an item specifically designed to protect one from the rain." Soonyoung finishes, and Minghao does not look happy.

"Soonyoung, please! You can't-!"

"Minghao, listen to me." He says sternly, silencing the other.

"I know getting you a personal guard might be an inconvenience but please, i'm doing this for your own good." He says not glancing up at the king. "Your heart, it's getting worse by the minute. Seungcheol is still trying to find someone to cure it, so we can't do anything but wait." He winces at his own words.

"And i've been stacked with workloads lately so I can't always keep an eye on you,"

"So please, let me do this, as your royal advisor and your best friend." Minghao stares at him for a moment before he dejectedly sighs and smiles sadly.

"I hate you."

.

"Why do I have to follow you?" Seungkwan asks tiredly.

"Because you and I are free of work today." Soonyoung answers pulling the hood of his cape down.

The two were currently walking down the streets of Ahomore as they scout for potential candidates to become the prince's personal royal guard. It was wet. It was raining, hard. Seungkwan groaned as he felt rain drops fall onto his dark blue hair.

"Couldn't we have done this on a different day, when it's not raining?" Seungkwan asks as he shivers when he feels a slight breeze blow by.

"Like I said Kwannie, I cleared both of our schedules for today a long time ago, and it just so happened to rain on this fine day." The elder says as he pats the water droplets out of his hair.

Seungkwan huffs.

"So how are we gonna find a candidate?" The younger asks in a monotone voice.

"Well my plan was to find someone with a strong aura, but in this rain-" He says as he squints his eyes. He wasn't able to make anything due to the heavy monsoon. The younger male rubs the space between his eyebrows in frustration.

"Look Soonyoung, this-" Seungkwan gets cut off by a voice.

"Wen Junhui you fuck, why didn't you bring a fucking umbrella?!"

The two are startled by the sudden voice but don't make a move to walk away.

"Why didn't you bring an umbrella Wonwoo?!"

"Me?! I was the one who found our picnic spot! It's basically a giant umbrella!"

"Well we can't fucking bring a wooden hut with us now can we-"

"Guys for the love of Queen Fernion please shut up-"

Soonyoung feels a slight shove on his right shoulder. A wave of heat flows through him as soon as he makes contact. His eyes widen.

It's powerful. The aura's powerful. A tad bit too powerful if you ask him.

"Ah I'm so sorry!" He and Seungkwan turn around. A boy drenched with rain was holding a cardigan over himself, seemingly to protect himself but that obviously wasn't working.

"Junhui!" A voice calls out.

"I'm coming!" The boy shouts back and turns back to the royals.

"I'm sorry again!" He bows and runs off.

The two are left speechless.

Seungkwan side glances the older. "I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one who felt that." Soonyoung nods and hums in agreement.

"Follow him."
