I sat down on the floor on the school's terrace and took small bites of my sandwich. I come and eat here alone everyday now. It's so peaceful!
It's been two weeks since I spoke to Yuta.
Two agonizing weeks.
I felt numb most of the time. I haven't spoken to anyone at all, not even Taeyong, Jaehyun, Wendy and Seulgi, although they tried to comfort me.
Yuta ignored and avoided me at all times. He never even glanced at me and even if we accidentally made eye contact, he would glare at me and look away. Last week he accidentally bumped into me in the school's corridor, causing my books and papers to fall, but he just walked past me without even saying a word.
I closed my eyes as I felt the tears building up in my eyes again.
I heard the bell ring and I made my way to my last class of the day—Math.
~
"I corrected your tests, most of you have done really well," My math teacher said. "I want Taehee, Sunwoo, Johnny and Yuta to stay back after class for a few minutes."
I took a deep breath as I felt the stabbing pains in my chest from hearing his name.
Class got over pretty fast and everyone practically ran out of class.
"Taehee? I'm really disappointed with how you've done your test this time," My math teacher said, giving me a disapproving look. I could see Yuta looking at me through my peripheral vision.
"Why?" I asked, confused. I had perfect grades from the very beginning. What went wrong?
"Last test you got a perfect 50, this test you got only 12," She said, causing me to gasp. "You're lucky that it's only a test and not an exam. What happened this time?"
"I-I'm sorry... I didn't prepare for the test," I lied. The truth was that I couldn't stop thinking about Yuta and the pain I was in. Throughout the entire test, I was only staring at him and making up scenarios in my head to talk to him.
"Sunwoo, I want you to tutor her on this chapter for a week," She said. "I'll give you extra credits for it."
I was going to protest, but I know she wouldn't agree. Sunwoo just nodded and smiled at me, he was really cute. I glanced at Yuta who was looking away, looking like he was going to punch someone.
"What are we here for, Miss?" Johnny asked.
"Ah, Yuta and Johnny, I wanted to know whether you all are missing class this week for practice for the game?"
"Yes," Yuta said, a hint of coldness in his mellifluous voice. "Coach wants us to practice as much as we can."
"Okay, but make sure you keep up with whatever you missed."
"We will," He said. "Can we leave now?"
"Yes, you all can go." She said, and he practically ran out the classroom. Johnny gave me an apologetic look and went as well. What was that about?
"So Taehee, we should start today, since we have only a week," Sunwoo said. "You can come over?"
I nodded. "Let's go."
~
"Wow, your room is like... wow," I said, earning a chuckle from him.
"Yeah, it's kinda boring, I know."
"Are you kidding me?" I said, raising an eyebrow. "It's perfect."
His room was very well decorated and so clean! It had a huge bookshelf and one entire wall which was painted by him.
"These's things you've painted are beautiful," I said as I ran my fingers over the paint.
"Not as much as you," He mumbled, but I wasn't sure if I heard him correctly since it was barely audible so I ignored it.
I turned to him and smiled, "Let's start."
