Chapter 9- Magnet

"The answer is x=127," I said as I put my pen down and stretched my arms.

"Remind me why I need to tutor your already smart ass again?" Sunwoo said as he sharpened a pencil. It's been five days since he's been tutoring me, and in this short time, we've become really good friends. I even became close to his sister Yuqi who sits next to me in school since Yuta changed his seat.

"For extra credits," I said, rolling my eyes causing Sunwoo to chuckle adorably. He was so attractive!

"Hey guys!" Yuqi squealed after she suddenly burst into Sunwoo's room. She was a year and a few months younger than Sunwoo but their parents decided to put them in the same grade.

"Hi!" I greeted her.

"What's got you all excited?" Sunwoo asked her, raising an eyebrow.

"The football game is tomorrow, I can't wait to see Yukhei play!"

"Yukhei? You mean Lucas, right?" I asked. It made me think about Yuta and I tried to ignore the pain I felt in my chest.

"Yeah, the one and only!"

"She's had a huge crush on him since 10th grade," Sunwoo told me. "I don't know how she hasn't gotten over it yet."

"Well have you seen him? He's the definition of absolutely perfect," She said. "Vampires are so hot!"

We all froze. Yuqi and Sunwoo glanced at each other with a look.

"Vampire? You knew?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. 

"They haven't told you about us? You've been with them for like three years right?" Yuqi questioned.

"I recently got to know about them actually," I said. "What are you guys?"

"We're spirits," Sunwoo said. "Wendy is our sibling who we don't talk to."

My eyes widened. "What?"

"Yeah, some huge family problems cause she's dating Jaehyun, a vampire," Yuqi admitted sadly.

"And here you are, crushing on a vampire," Sunwoo said, shaking his head.

"So I'm guessing that's why you haven't made a move on Lucas yet?" I asked.

"It doesn't really matter, he knows what I am but he hasn't really bothered about my existence." Yuqi said and shrugged.

"Aren't you dating Yuta?" Sunwoo asked, his tone a little cold. I froze as the pain returned.

"N-No, we never... dated," I said, trying to sound as calm as possible. I never even told him that I'm in love with him, not like he'd care anyway.

"Oh..." Sunwoo murmured. "You're a magnet for non-humans, I swear you are."

I laughed. It was true, I am a magnet for mythical creatures.

"Anyway, Taehee, you have to come with me to the game tomorrow," Yuqi said. 

"I don't know..." I said. Yuta would be pissed if he saw me there.

"Please Taehee," Yuqi pleaded, pouting and widening her puppy eyes.

"Ugh! Fine," I groaned. No one could say no to her.

She cheered and jumped around, clapping her hands.

Me and Sunwoo shook our heads at her childish but adorable behavior.

"There's only 20 seconds left! Wong Lucas has the ball and is advancing to their goal... He passes the ball to Nakamoto Yuta... There's 10 seconds left... And score! Nakamoto Yuta, the captain, scores the last goal and leads his team into victory!"

The crowd went wild! Everyone was jumping and screaming. "Na Yuta! Na Yuta! Na Yuta!"

The football team lifted Yuta and began tossing him in the air and catching him. He had the biggest and most beautiful smile on his face. I smiled.

Yuqi was so hyped that she jumped on me, almost make me lose my balance, "We won!"

"Taehee, can you please go give this to Minhyuk? He's in the boy's locker room, I need to meet Mrs. Kim," Yuqi said. I was going to protest but she shoved the notebooks into my hands and ran off. "Thank you, I love you!"

I sighed as I made my way to the boy's locker room. I knocked a few times but there was no response. I decided to just go in.

The room was empty, I guess they all changed and left already. I turned around to leave but I stopped when I saw who was in front of me. Right in front of me.

He was shirtless, only wearing his track pants. He was more muscular than I thought. My eyes involuntarily scanned over his abs and the veins on his arms before I remembered that I'm the last person he would want to see.

"Yuta..." I whispered, staring into his dark crimson eyes.
