Chapter 10

Em’s POV
I opened the door to see Jase standing on the step with Craig just behind him texting away. That was Craig now, he only texted Sophie and couldn’t see anything else, sweet really. I looked behind them to see that there were thick grey clouds rolling in. I sighed this was going to be the first wet day since April. I locked the door behind me and held out my hand for Jase. He took it and I smiled at the feeling of his warm skin against my cold one. I chewed my lip as we started walking.
“So what do you think Craig?” Jase asked, we were thinking about our entire group going out for a meal next weekend to celebrate that we were in sixth form. He didn’t respond and I leaned forward to see what was going on. He was staring at the screen with an enormous amount of concentration, his eyes wide and he wasn’t even blinking.
“Craig?!” I called but he still didn’t respond. I sighed and reached over Jase and grabbed Craig’s phone out of his hands.
“Oi! Emmy, give that back.” He said reaching over to me.
I put the phone behind my back and ran backwards going ahead of the boys. “Na goes. Listen to Jase and then I’ll give it back.”
“Just because you got an A in Welsh doesn’t make you fluent.” He said bitterly, glaring at me.
“I didn’t ever say I was fluent. I only know a few phrases.” I said laughing. “Now listen to Jase.” I instructed as I slipped the phone into my blazer pocket. We did have a uniform in sixth form and I did feel like a bit of a div dressed like this, but I have to say that Jase looked gorgeous in his.
Jase smirked as Craig surrendered and looked at him. “We’re going to Alfredo’s next Saturday, would you like to come?”
Craig clicked his tongue. “As long as I get my phone back.”
“I was going to give it back to you anyway.”
“Then yes.” I handed over his phone but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me over his shoulder in a fireman’s lift.
“Craig, let me down NOW!” I yelped as he started to piss himself laughing (not literally of course). He started running with me on his shoulder. “Craig!” I yelled again then thought Jase might help. “Jase!” I called and looked up to see Jase running behind us. “What’s going on?” I said starting to laugh.
“We just spotted the bus.” Jase breathed.
“Craig, do you think that’s the best thing to do? Put the fastest on your shoulder, wouldn’t it be better if I ran ahead?” Craig sighed and slowed slightly and let me down and then pressed back into a run. I turned around and followed them soon catching up with them with the help of my converse which I was still allowed to wear even with a pencil skirt. I got to the bus first and smacked my hand on the side to tell the driver that we were still there.
“I was wondering where you were.” The driver smiled as he opened the door for me and I grinned. “Are the boys here too?”
“Yeah, they’re just behind me.” I said breathing heavily and smiling at him. “Nice to see you again.”
“Yeah, you too kid.” I grinned and went upstairs as I got onto the top level strong hands wrapped around my waist and picked me up and carried me to the back where Ginny, Davey, Seth and Leanne sat. My eyes lingered on Leanne a little longer than the rest until Jase pulled me onto his lap in the seat just in front making room for Craig to sit next to us.
“Em, I’m so going to be fantasising about you in that uniform tonight.” Seth whispered into my ear making me laugh.
“Do you want me to tell Sammie you just said that Seth?” Leanne sneered next to him.
