Chpt 6

Alright here y'all go I'm so sorry it took longer than I promised work got stressful and I'm about to finally get my own place so time has been a hassle but enjoy y'all:) ❤️

"Jess?" I heard in the distance but I really didn't feel like opening my eyes.
" Jess? Hello?" Just keeps getting louder. Like seriously..
"*SHHMMACKK*"  my eyes shot open, literally the worst way to wake someone up. I look up to find Brandon standing over me with his nike slides in his hands, which answers my question about wtf that noise was. He had smacked the shoes together making a loud noise. He smirked and tossed the shoes behind him.
" well took you long enough , I was about to throw water on you," he said casually walking towards his door, " and by the way, get out my bed" with a wink.
I rolled my eyes and sat up, he's lucky I didn't choke him for scaring me awake like that. I slipped my shoes on and stood up and walked down stairs. Looks like my sister didn't even move it's really only been an hour her and Zion are still at it with fort nite.
  "Jess want some stir fry? It's ready!" Edwin called from the kitchen lifting the pan up to show. Looked really good actually. Brandon was already at the table eating starring at his phone.
  " Yea, pass me a plate please," I smiled at Edwin and put some on my plate. I sat down across from Brandon. I ate a few bites then Zion and my little sis joined us, they started strategizing for their next game while they ate. I put my place in the sink and walked over to the table, Brandon hasn't looked up from his phone since I sat down. I can literally only imagine what is so damn interesting whoever he's talking to. It's been about a while since I've seen the dog. Well at least the husky will give me attention.
  " alright y'all I'll see y'all later..you gonna be here for a little longer?" I looked at Jenna, she nodded and grabbed her controller and continued with the game. 
With that I walked out the living room door, past the pool and through the back gate back to my aunts house. Rocky ran up to me as soon as i walked through the door. I bent down and rubbed her face and she licked mine. I walked over and put food in her bowl and gave her some water then drug myself up stairs to shower and get ready for bed. Im just not feeling so much as to trying to hang out with brandon. Whatever hes doing his own thing. I jumped in the shower real quick and washed myself. I grabbed and towel and wrapped my hair up. Rocky already was laying in the bed waiting for me. I put hooked my phone up to the ihome dock and played "what u call that" by chase atlantic, my favorite band. I jumped into bed rocky just huffed and closed her eyes again. My phone buzzed on the nighstand . Part of me didnt want to pick it up. But the curious side of me always gets what she wants so i guess im getting my phone now. It was a text from jenna saying to unlock the front door. Mentally sighed bc i had to get up. I rolles out of bed and made my way down stairs. As soon as i got opened the door jenna started ranting about how zion won or killed or destroyed her in the game honestly i didnt keep upnwith what she was saying i just nodded and went back to the room. I layed back in bed and turned off the lamp and listening to music while i drifted off to sleep.
7:49am. Way to early, for anything. I literally couldnt go back to sleep. Even rocky noticed and decided for both of us that she was going outside. I yawned and put my hair up in a bun. Jenna was still asleep, her door was still closed. I made my way to the back yard door and let rocky out. My phone dinged from a text from Mitch asking if i want anything from starbucks because hes on his way here.I replied asking for a extra caramel frappicino and a simple iced coffee for jenna. I laid on one of the poolside couches while rocky literally just laid in the grass sunbathing. Awesome. I just wanna go back in bed but the couch will have to do. About 15 minutes went by and all ive done is listen to the waves crash out in the distance and get rocky water and watch her chase her own tail.
"Alright i got a extra caramel frapp For you, a small iced coffee for your sister and a large black coffee for me," Mitch announced walking through the back door handing me my frappicino.
" ugh, thank you so much im dying, i couldnt sleep and shes just doing her own thing," i replied pointing over to rocky who is just entertaining herself. Mitch nodded and sat on the other couch.
"Whats been up?" He asked while sipping his coffee.
" nothing new just jenna making friends with the neighbors," i answered, i grabbed rockys tennis ball and she immediately looked at me waiting to see what I'll do. I threw it as far as i could and she took off running to get it.
" well at least yall will have friends for the summer," Mitch replied shrugging his shoulders looking intobthe distance. Rocky ran back with the ball and this time dropped it off to mitch instead of me. He laugh then picked it up and pulled his arm back far then launched the ball so far it was out of my sight in the sun light. We both her a 'ping' like it hit something and then a "OWW!"
We both immediately jumped up to see who it was, Mitch laughing, Rocky running back happily with the ball in ber mouth and a annoyed Edwin rubbing his head.
"Yikes, my bad, but you were in the line of fire,kid" Mitch chuckled grabbing the ball from rocky then throwing it again. Insat back down on the couch smiling to myself.
" thats okay ill just wear a helmet next time i come say hi to my neighbors," Edwin muttered and sat next to me.
" anyways. Whats the plans for today?" Edwin asked looking over at both of us. I put down my coffee and Mitch already began to talk, " Im just passing through to check up on them, i dont know their plans are, but im going check on jenna and the rest of the place, call me if you need me." And with i nodded and he got up and went inside and rocky following.
" umm i was thinking the mall, because theres not much to do, we could go bowling is near the mall," i asking i mean that seems better than nothing, better than watch jenna and zion got at it about fort nite again.
" yeah i like that idea get everyone out the house, how about 12?" He asked checking his phone for the time.
" sounds good since everyone wont be getting up until 10," i replied laying back into the couch watching the sun go up higher into the sky. My frappicino was a little melted at this point but still tolerable.
" you hungry?" He looked at me.
" i mean im not dying of starvation but i could go for something," i replied looking up from my phone.
" i could whip up some french toast," he stood up from the couch
" yeah wanna make it here since were already here?" I said pointing at the house. I mean rather than going over there and seeing you know who.
" yeah thats what i was thinking," we both walked inside i showed him to the large kitchen and all the ingredients to make them. He began cracking the eggs and pulling out cinnamon and putting stuff in the pan while i sat at the other side of the counter just watching and talking about whatever. Soon the whole kitchen started to smelling like sweet cinnamon.
" so whats with u and brandon?" Edwin asked looking up at me while starting the second batch of french toast.
" what do you mean?" I asked looking at him, i could feeling my brain scrambling to prepare something to say for any question that involves brandon. Literally not what i feel like talking about at 9am.
" well looks like yall have been getting real comfortable with each other and.." he started
" and what?" My eyebrow lifting to give him that look. You know the look, where its like we both know what youre gonna say but please dont.
" nothing.. i just wanna know what yall are up to, hangin out in his room, behind closed doors an all...alone.."
" WOW stop, gross, nothing is going on, cant two people just get to know one another," i shrugged rolling my eyes.
" two people...of the opposite sex-"
" the WHAT now?!" We both turned around to see jenna standing in the door way walking over to us and taking a seat next to me.
" nothing , just talking about the fine line between getting to know someone and being friends with-" i cut him off before he could finish.
"ANYWAYS, want some french toast?" I already started putting some on a plate for her while edwin smiled to himself.
" i heard french toast where it at?" Nick walked in aiming straight for the french toast, him and edwin did their little bro handshake and then made himself a plate and looked up at me and jenna saying "morning ladies," which we both said sup in sync.
" whens the rest coming? I messaged the chat 15 minutes ago.." Edwin stated looking at his phone and back at Nick.
" umm Austin was just getting up when i left so im thinking any minute and Brandon and Zion were both still sleeping. " nick replied then digging into the french toast. Then jenna mutter "loser" under her breath about zion but we all heard it, clearly still mad about the game.
"Um technically you lost so youre the L-"
" dont even finish that sentence Nick" jenna cut him off real quick. Edwin and i both started laugh and nick just smirked at his plate.
" Ayeee im here for the toast from France!"
" speaking of.." nick started
Jenna rolled her eyes.
" whats up Z come get some," they also did a handshake of couse. Im literally just on instagram this whole time little did i notice Rocky has been under my chair sleeping this whole time. I dont think anyone knew she was right here.
"Ready for the next round little J?" Zion smiled brightly at jenna. Before she even responded i cut in.
" actually i thought we should all go bowling," everyone smiled and nodded
" alright" Zion responded.
"Im down" said nick.
" ill crush you," jenna looked at zion.. here we go.. again.
" wanna bet?" Zion held his hand out.
" alright so bowling it is.." Edwin announced putting the last stack of french toast on a plate.
"Bowling?" Said a voice coming from the door frame. Could only be-
" Brandon!"
