"Umm.. I'll just have a cheeseburger and fries, with a small caramel frappe. Just ketchup on the burger, please," I told the cashier my order and stepped aside to let Cole order.
"I'll have the double quarter pounder with cheese, fries, and a large chocolate shake, please," Cole ordered, then took out his wallet to pay.
"Okay, that'll be $21.80, please," the cashier, Kyle (at least that's what it read on his name tag), said.
Cole handed him the money, then stepped off to the side with me, so that the next people in line could order.
"So, I never knew you liked frappes," Cole said, turning to face me.
I smirked, "There's a lot you don't know about me, you know."
"Then that's what we'll do while we eat. Get to know eachother," he replied, smiling.
"Okay," I smiled back.
"What's your favorite color?"
I laughed, "Seriously?"
He just shrugged, "Starting on basic stuff, sweetheart."
I laughed again, "Ok. It's teal. What about you?"
"Green," he smiled, "Now your turn to ask a question."
"Umm... What's your favorite season?"
"Fall, you?"
I laughed, "Same here. Why?"
"I don't know, just do. Why do you like it?"
"I love the color of the leaves, and I get to wear sweaters, then snuggle up in fuzzy blankets," I answered, blushing a little.
He opened his mouth to answer, but another voice interrupted what he was gonna say, "Cheeseburger, fries, and caramel frappe with a double quarter pounder, fries, and a chocolate shake!"
"Food's ready!" I beamed, happy to finally get to eat.
"Why don't I get the food and you can go pick a table?" Cole suggested, laughing a little at my enthusiasticness.
"Sounds good to me," I replied happily, heading off to find an empty (and preferably clean) table.
Spotting a two-seater next to a window, I walked over and sat down, waiting for Cole to return with our food.
"Hey," Cole greeted, sitting in the seat across from me, and handed me my food.
I blushed, "Hey."
"Were you lonely without me?" He asked, smirking.
"Very," I laughed, shaking my head. Of course he would ask that.
"Aww, well I missed you too baby doll," he replied, smiling warmly.
I looked down, my face heating to a degree I never knew possible. This was just too good to be true, I thought, how did I ever deserve someone as amazing and sweet as him?
"Better start eating, before your food gets cold," Cole said, interrupting my thoughts.
I looked back up, laughing a little at my stupidity. "Of course. Sorry," I apologized, grimacing a little at my antics.
"Hannah, you have nothing to be sorry about," he responded, sounding confused.
I frowned, "Yeah, I do."
"What?"
"You know, spacing out..letting my food get cold.." I answered, embarrassed.
He sighed, "It's fine, sweetheart. It's cute when you space out."
