Staying quiet, I carry the tray of food into Cole's and my bedroom. Luckily, he's still sound asleep in bed, and doesn't look like he's moved even an inch.

Well, hopefully that's a good thing.

I walk over and set the tray on the night stand beside Cole's side of the bed. Just as I'm about to turn around and wake him up, two arms suddenly encircle themselves around my waist and pull me down on the bed. I hit something solid and warm with an 'oomph' before a small scream escapes my lips.

A deep chuckle vibrates from beneath me, and it finally hits me who's grabbed me.

"You idiot!" I slap his chest, trying to feign anger. "You scared me half to death!"

Cole smirks, "Well, at least I didn't scare you to death. I'd be without a mate then."

"Idiot. I'm starting to regret making you breakfast," I mutter, trying to sit up. He only pulls me back down, though, causing me to squeak in surprise.

"You made me breakfast?" He beams, as if it's the best thing in the world.

"I did." I smile and lean forward to peck his lips.

He has other plans though.

Rolling over, he traps me beneath him and cages me in with his arms. I blush as I come to the realization that while I am fully dressed, he is still wearing nothing.

"Aren't you-" I start, but am soon cut off by his lips crashing forcefully against mine.

I respond immediately, bringing my arms up around his neck. He attempts to deepen the kiss as he runs his tongue along my bottom lip. Smirking slyly, I make him wait a few more seconds before obliging and parting my lips a bit.

His tongue collides with mine, as he explores every detail of my mouth, as if trying to memorize every single part of it.

"Ready for round two?" He murmurs into the kiss, whilst lowering his hands down to the hem of my shirt.

"Definitely." I gasp out, breathless from the passionate kiss.

And round two is exactly what we do.

Waking up to the sound of loud, obnoxious knocking on the door is definitely no feat. Growling lowly, I sit up in bed, being sure not to wake Hannah. If whoever's out there wakes her, I'm going to detach both their hands from their bodies.

I pull on a pair of sweatpants before swinging open the door and finding Jared standing there. "What?" I snap quietly, so as to not wake Hannah.

"There has been enemy wolves' scents detected along the borders five miles out from the house," Jared whispers urgently, his eyes searching the room frantically as if an enemy wolf is about to pop out suddenly.

"One of Robert's wolves?" I hiss, while closing the door behind me as I step out into the dark hallway.

"We are almost positive that's who they are."

"Alright. Well, screw our last plan. Tonight, we're taking them down. Gather the rest of the fighters and we'll meet in the arena in fifteen minutes. Got that?" I instruct, a plan forming in my head as I speak.

"Yes, Alpha. Got it," he responds quickly, and sprints down the hall.

Sighing, I head back into Hannah's and my bedroom, wondering if I should tell her or not. She'll be angry with me of course, if I don't.

But she'd be safer, not knowing.

Making my decision not to tell her, I grab a t-shirt and pull it on. Then I walk over to my nightstand and move my alarm clock, under which is a small, barely detectable button. Pushing it, I stand back with a smirk on my face, proud of my invention.
