Waking up frustrated and angry you go to the gym. After about two hours at the gym you get ready to walk out with you hear your name. Not recognizing the voice you stop in your tracks and look around. Still not noticing anyone familiar you continue to walk when suddenly you feel and hand on your shoulder. You turn around and see Roman smiling.
"Hey Y/N how are you?" Roman asks.
"I'm good, you?"
"I can't complain." He shrugs.
"What about your baby is he?" You question.
"He's amazing."
You stood staring at Roman and noticed how gorgeous he actually was.
"It was nice seeing you again." He says interrupting your thoughts.
"You too." You tell him as you start to walk away.
When you get to the door you're stopped again by Roman.
"I just wanted to know if you wanted to go to dinner or something?" He asks.
"I don't know. I mean last time we were supposed to go to dinner you kinda stood me up." You joked.
"I know and I'm still pissed at myself for that. You don't have to if you don't want to I just thought I'd give it another shot."
"Yeah sure I'm down."
"Cool so I'll call you later and let you know the details. Same number right?"
"Yup!"
You say bye once again and walk out of the gym. One your way to your car you start to wonder if you'd just made a mistake since you and Trevante broke up less than twenty four hours ago. You convince yourself that maybe it was a sign that maybe Roman would be the best thing to keep your mind off of Trevante.
2 ½ Years Later
You were sleeping peacefully when you hear someone. Opening your eyes you see Roman holding your daughter Kayla as he walks to your side of the bed.
"Say Happy Birthday mommy!" Roman says.
"Thank you!"
Sitting up you kiss Roman as he hands Kayla to you. You played with Kayla and responded to birthday texts before getting up to get ready for work. You walk into the kitchen and see Roman making breakfast. You sit down and as he sits a plate in front of you. He sits next to you with Kayla in his lap. Once you were done you kiss Roman and Kayla and take off for work.
As the elevator doors open the first person you see is Maya. She hugs you and wishes you a happy birthday before you and her go to your office. Before you could get into your office you see Jeremiah who informs you that Ava wants to see you in her office. You walk into Ava's office and see her sitting at her desk.
"Good morning Y/N!" She says looking away from her computer to greet you.
"Morning!"
You sit in front of her waiting for her as she finishes what you assumed was an email before she acknowledges you again. Ever since the whole thming with Trevante you felt weird about being around Ava especially when the two of you were alone. It's been almost three years since the last time you spoke to or saw Trevante you still could stand him. Even though being with Roman made it somewhat bearable, you did everything thing in your power to keep your distance from him including not attending him and Ava's wedding.
