Jellal's Death

Jellal will always put on a smile for his loving wife, Erza, and his son. He couldn't bring himself to tell her, or his son, that he was rapidly dying. He knew how much time he had left: a day. He decided to spend it with his son and wife. He won't tell them. It will only bring them pain. As nightfa came he thought as though he wasn't ready for what was awaiting him. He went into his sons room to put him to bed. He sat on the side of his bed looking at him. "Look, I know I haven't said this enough.. But just know," his son looked at him confused. "That I will always love you. I will always be looking over you and your mother." He was on the verge of tears. "Daddy, what are you saying?" His son asked. "Please, just tell me you love me; one last time.." He looked at his son. "I love you daddy! I mean that with all my heart!" His son smiled widely. Jellal smiled kissing his forehead before walking out of his room and into his. "Erza." He said walking in. "Yes Jellal?" She asked. He sat down next to her. "I love you, so much.." He looked at her lovingly. "I love you too Jellal." She smiled. Oh how he'll miss that smile. If only she knew.. "I just want to hold you tonight, okay?" He said laying down. "Of course." She laird down beside him. He held her close, knowing it'll be his last. "Goodbye Erza.." He whispered knowing she was asleep. "I'll always watch over you." He said before falling into darkness. The next morning he wasn't moving nor breathing. Erza was at the side of the bed on her knees, crying her heart out. "Mommy?" Her son asked. She looked at him with puffy eyes. "What's wrong?" He asked. She ran over to him hugging him close. "Baby.." She said softly. "Daddy's dead.." She whispered. Her son hugging her back crying harder than she had. They cried and cried until they had no more tears left. "I love you both.." Jellal said before disappearing.
