Chapter 24

Chase's p.o.v

A few minutes earlier

It was 10 o'clock in the morning and I had just woken up to the agonizing sound of my little sister crying. I groaned covering my ears with my pillow which to no avail helped me drown out the noise. "Babe I think Jade is hungry." I got no response. I didn't think much of it at first I just tried to go back to sleep. But the crying wouldn't stop. "Love get up." I groaned  Once again no response. I sighed and rolled over to wake her up but what I was met with shocked me. She wasn't there.

Now

"WHERE IS SHE!" I stormed past maids who rushed to get out of my way and others who frantically tried to calm me down. "Master Chase please there's no need to make such a scene." A maid said. I pushed her aside my eyes set on the dining room, where I knew my parents would be. Just when I was about to reach my destination I felt someone grab my arm and pull me back making me stop. I snatched my arm away from them and spun around to face them "WHAT!" "Boy who in the hell do you think you're talking to? You better settle down before I start acting up in this bitch." Elizabeth said I sighed "Sorry Liz it's just that when I woke up Love wasn't there and I've been looking all over for her. Have you seen her?" "No. Did you check her room?" Sh asked "Obviously!" "Ok where do you plan on heading now?" "The dining room. I know that those two demon spawns that claim me as their child have something to do with this!" "Chase sweetie we can hear you." I could feel my blood boiling as I heard my mother's voice. "Chase wait-" I slammed the doors open and made my way towards the table where they sat and ate. I stood across from my father glaring at him. "Where's Love?" "Who?" "MY GIRLFRIEND! THE ONE YOU TRIED TO SLAP YESTERDAY!" My mother gasped "Chase when did you get a girlfriend? Is she from one of the family's that we do business with? Aww look at my boy make business decisions for the family already for once I'm actually proud of you-" "No mom she's a maid here." "A MAID." She yelled dramatically clutching her chest. Other maids rushed over to her quickly fanning her and checking her heart. I rolled my eyes and turned to my dad who was humbly enjoying breakfast. "What did you do to her?" "I didn't do anything  she volunteered. " "You....You didn't give her the ultimate punishment did you?" "What?! Of course not I'm married to your mother besides it's not my place to give her something like that." He said "Ok then where is she?" "She-" "Mrs. Valentine!" A voice yelled as the doors slammed open. We all turned our heads to the estranged voice.

As Jade clung to her hip all the while pulling her hair the girl with long blonde locks came towards the dining table obviously annoyed and frustrated. "Lucy what's wrong?" My mother said genuinely worried as shooed away the other maids "Your precious jewel of a daughter keeps messing up my hair and she won't stop crying!" She said "It's ok sorry for causing you so much stress dear leave her with Chase." Lucy snapped her neck towards me a smirk plastered on her face "Oh hi Master Chase~" she said walking over to me. She handed Jade to while she mouthed the words "I miss you." I quickly took Jade into my arms "Don't you have work to do?" "No Chase I want her to stay. Why don't you have breakfast with us sweetie?"  I glared at my mother as Lucy sat down and ate a piece of bacon. "I think this is all I'll have. I like to watch my figure unlike some people." "You wouldn't be saying that if Love was here. You know damn well she would jump across this table and beat your ass." "Chase language." My father said  I groaned as I started to get a little agitated "Just tell me where she is." "She will be staying at the Thorns for awhile, to prove that she is worthy of being your girlfriend." I took a deep breath "How long will she be there?" "A week." I took another deep breath. I was on the verge of going on a fucking rampage but I couldn't with Jade in my hands. I turned on my heels and quickly exited the dining room. I shoved Jade into Elizabeth's arms and I headed towards my room. "Chase what's going on?" She said I slammed my door shut and started pacing my room until I stopped in front of a wall. I took one more deep breath then punched the wall. "Shit" I mumbled as I held my fist staring at the fresh indent in my wall. 'He did say she volunteered. But why would she? She didn't need to prove herself as far as I'm concerned.'

"Please stop staring at me." I glared at the man sat next to me. "I'm sorry but we've never seen you before." This asshole woke me up 10 o'clock in the morning and I was beyond pissed. He raised his hands that were bounded by chains and touched my hair. I immediately slapped it away. "I came in last night. I'll only be here for a week then I'll be gone." "Eli leave the poor girl alone." A girl said I turned my head to meet blue eyes. It contrasted with her beautiful dark skin. "Sorry Awiti." The man said "What is your name girl?" "Love." "How ironic. I don't feel any love coming from you." The boy know as Eli mumbled The girl yanked his dreads "Shut up boy. Nice to meet you Love so tell me about your circumstances-"

Suddenly the door busted open letting light fill the dark basement. I winced from the light as the person came down the stairs followed by two guards holding bins of food. "Sup fuckers. "
