"Ling!!!!" She glomped him and he stumbled slightly before steadying himself.
"Princess! Be careful, we don't want to fall overboard," he said as he stepped by slightly from the edge of the ship where he was originally standing.
"Just call me 'junior brother' like you used to," she said sulking as he unwrapped her hands placing her down.
"But princess, you're a girl." He said in a 'don't-be-ridiculous' tone as he stared at her in 'are-you-stupid?' way.
"I'm still your junior! Call me junior sister!" She said feeling bullied, she wasn't an idiot she's just trying to avoid death!
"Fine, I owe you for saving me, but I need to ask, where did you learn that type of exorcism?"
What?
"What?" She asked she exorcized that daemon? Really?
"That was exorcism!?" Her eyes lit up as she was practically jumping up and down in excitement. She could exorcise daemons!?
He looked at her with skepticism unsure of how to take this sudden outburst. She managed to something he couldn't without and prior help or knowledge, he couldn't help but feel inferior.
'She can do something I can't, and I call myself a genius.'
He clenched his fist in newfound anger and a feeling of self-doubt crept up slowly as he watched her smiling face.
"Yeah...you exorcised it..."
She wanted to scream in happiness, the original Violet Earle didn't have these powers, she was highly intelligent but she spent most of her time worrying about Grey falling for the female lead.
But now she had this power, she could stand up to the female lead who would become the next Arch Queen.
"Fufufu~"
A rather perverted laugh escaped her mouth sending shivers down ling's spine.
"Hey... what are you thinking about?" He asked her unsure if he really wanted to know.
"Nothing!" She said putting an innocent smile back on her face and his eyes narrowed in suspicion.
"Your highness! The prince is awaiting your presence in the dining room" came a cold voice from the cabins.
"Coming!" She said as she waved at Ling before dashing away for lunch. Ling raised his hand to wave back reluctantly before turning back to the sea.
The journey was peaceful enough to get Earle to walk around the ship whining on how boring the entire situation was, Grey could only sigh in exhaustion as she came up to him for the fifth time with big eyes and a mischievous smile.
"What'cha doing~?" She asked hoping for something to do that wasn't reading.
"Princess Earle, I'm reading a book, would you like to read with me?" He asked not wanting to leave that book.
"What's it about?" She asked curiously.
"It's about the history of the ark," he said vaguely hoping she would lose interest and move on.
"Elaborate." She ordered as few pictures passed through her head about exactly what ark he was talking about.
He glanced at her in exasperation.
"The Ark belongs to the church." He vegans setting down his book.
"It has been with the church since the beginning, it's known as the dwelling place of God himself."
She looked at him like he was crazy.
"Why would God dwell in an ark? It doesn't make sense. Explain."
'can someone take her away!? Please!?'
