A New Dawn

Overlord POV: 

As happy as I am with the knowledge that I am going to be a father, I'm scared. Not scared of being a bad father but... of my family. All of them are monsters. Vincent my "father" Linda my "mother" and Dawn... wait DAWN! I saw Dawn attacking Amber with that boy with gray hair and the girl with green hair! What was she doing with them!? Where are our parents? I need to talk to Gnarl!

TIMESKIP 

Location: Roman's Hideout

POV Dawn AKA "Cinder":

'Sigh' I can't believe that I have to work with these incompetent fools! It's bad enough I have to take on the burden left behind by my parents but the things I've done... But as my father would say, "the ends justify the means!"

?: Cinder!?

Me: Hmm? 

Emerald: Cinder are you ok?

Me: I'm fine! Truly all is well with me!

Mercury: I don't buy it.

Me: Are you doubting me?

I give him a soul piercing glare

Mercury: N-no ma'am!

Me: Good, now wait elsewhere I wish to be alone!

They left in a hurry, good. I don't want to be disturbed when I think about... him. I never understood why I had to hurt him, but after so long it just started feeling like I could get away with anything if I blamed it on him. I remember the night I took the bullying too far and my parents carved those words into his flesh... his screams still haunt me! I remember when my parents told me I was getting a new sibling. I was so excited that it was a little brother and that I would be a big sister! I also remember the shock of seeing a newborn in the arms of not my parents but of General James Ironwood. He took my parents aside and talked to them but I was so happy holding my little brother in my arms. 

I notice that I began to cry remembering all those good memories. Before the change. 

FLASHBACK

Dawn POV:

Mommy and Daddy have been acting kind of weird the last couple of days but I don't care cause I get to spend more time with Y/N! 

Me: Come on Y/n, lets play!

Y/n: Blrgh ah hahaha

Me: Oh right you're a baby! Who's a chubby baby bro!? You are, yes you are!

I tickle him a bit but then something happened

Y/n: D-ddd

Me: What!? Are you gonna say daddy!? Dog? Diaper? Diabolical!? 

Y/n: D-D-Dawn!

Me: W-what?

Y/n: Dawn! Dawn, Dawn, Dawn!

Me: Wait here! I gotta get mommy and daddy!

I run off to find our parents but can't seem to find them anywhere. That is until I see them talking to some cloaked man on the porch.

Me: Mommy! Daddy! Strange cloaked man! Y/n just said his first word!

I notice both of my parents looking very scared and kinda angry

?: Oh!? And who is this wonderful little creature?

He reaches for me but my father grabs his hand

Dad: Don't touch my daughter! 

Mom: H-her name is Dawn! She's our four year old little angel!

?: Hhhmmmm.... and who is this Y/N character that she seems so enthusiastic about?

Me: Y/n is my little brother! He looks a little weird but I love him all the same!

Mommy's eyes widen and daddy looks away

?: He looks weird how?

Me: He has gray skin and golden eyes!

The strange mans eyes widen and he turns to my parents

?: Is that true? IS IT TRUE!?

Dad: Y-yes! 

?: So this is where he was sent? 

Mom: Where who was sent?

?: Someone whom is a great danger to your daughter~

?: Now we have some business to discuss so why don't you tell your child to run along now~

Mom: Dawn baby please go watch over your brother for a little while so we can have a grown-up chat with the nice man ok!?

Me: Ok mommy!

I ran back inside and started talking with my brother... that was the last time we were ever "normal"

END FLASHBACK

'Sigh' I swear I'll find you Y/n... I promised you that i would always love and protect you and I broke that promise.... I need you back..... please save me Y/n..... 

Sorry if this chapter was to short and or sucked, I kinda had to force it by popular demand! This was mostly filler and was meant to show that Dawn AKA "Cinder" Isn't actually a bad guy but is just another pawn... but on who's board!?
