Capture the flag

After dinner we head out to the armory and get a couple of breast-plates and helmets. I got chosen to be on the blue team with the Athena cabin and Hermes and Apollo cabins,so I'm guessing we have pretty decent chance of winning.

"Now the Apollo cabin can do defense in the trees and Travis and Conner still can lead half of the Hermes kids and half of the Athena kids on a distraction route away from the flag and then I will lead the rest of the kids the exact opposite way so the rest of the guards will lead their post and that will make it easier for Helen to get the flag"an Athena kid said.

Wait what , she said I get the flag!no,no!that's huge ,why would they give a new kid that job?

"Everyone got it"?"good,lets go"!the Athena kid said again.

I guess that's ,that , so let's steal a flag!

The kids all started running to their assigned posts and I just walked to a random place in the woods. Then I heard a conch horn blow and the game started. I then heard one group go off to the left and a bunch of Ares kids running after them and then I heard the other group take off and the other campers after that group. So this is where I start. I draw my sword 'snowflake' and step forward looking and hearing for any signs of attack and finally I got to a clearing where a red flag with a bloody boar was shimmering in the evening light. To easy!there must be some person still guard here or an ambush waiting for me,but where? Then I had a brilliant idea!

I snuck up around the outer edges of the clearing and saw a kid sleeping! So I walked back to the middle of the clearing and grabbed the flag and started to run as fast as I could back to other side of the stream and then a Ares kid stepped out in front of me with her electric spear ready to run me through. I dodge and sidestep and run right past her! But she's running after me and gaining! So I remember the first time I found out I was demigod and how 2 empousai were running after me and I did the same thing I did then,I turned around. And when I did,I shot ice right at her and froze her feet. She then tripped and fell and I saw her straining to move and punish me for doing that,but I had better things to do. So I turned and ran,jumped over the stream and saw the bloody boar turn in to a owl for the Athena cabin.

"The Blue team has won,and Clarisse,I will unfreeze your feet"Chiron informs.

My teammates start to swarm me and say 'congratulations' 'not bad for a newbie' and things like that. After a while I got bored of the attention and wandered off to my cabin and then fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
