Emerald eyes held me rigid against his chest, my face smushed into the silky cotton of his shirt. His shocked expression changed into an unreadable one, and then thud!
I fell on the soft carpeted floor, my arms colliding creating a slight carpet burn bruising on the tips of my elbows. The pain was barely noticeable, what I really felt was the searing crack of my insides being broken apart. My heart felt as if it was into pieces, my mind full, my stomach empty. I wanted to cry but alas, I was like a dessert, fluid-less.
Looking back up, I noticed Emerald eyes was gone. So he catches me, then let's me fall. The nerve of guys. I stood back up and dusted my clothes off slightly forgetting where I was. All I could think about was the slight shiver I got when he held me, and the slight pain I got when he let me go.
I looked around to notice that the people in the party where still partying and taking shots. I see a hangover in their future. I myself had only a few shots of tequila, one beer, and a glass of wine, yet I felt especially light-headed like I might fall out. Yet the people on the dance floor were drunken fools still able to move around, sluggishly yes, but still.
Shaking the thought of emerald eyes out of my head, I swayed myself to the kitchen holding on to specific pieces of furniture. My insides were burning and my adrenaline level past a hundred, I felt like speedy monzolez.
Going to the kitchen, I grabbed an ice-cold water bottle from the fridge, and sat on the edge of the counter. I drunk it, thirsty for the cold tasteless beverage to lighten my pounding heart.
My vision felt as though is had became a little clearer, yet I could still see it blurring in and out. My heart slowed down a bit, the water cooling the burning alcohol.
Looking at my phone, it read 2:00 a:m... Damn, we've been in here for more than three hours. I wonder what Porter and Terra are up to.
"What the hell are you doing here Mercy?" I heard a familiar voice yell over the beating music. Looking up, I stared into a pair of Rare purple eyes that matched mine.
Shit Collin!
"Hay big bro, I said nervously rubbing the back of my neck while jumping off of the counter. He looked down on me in a disappointed look while I hung my head in shame. My brother could always make me feel guilty, even when I think I'm not doing anything wrong.
"Mercy, what are you doing here at this club unsupervised, he said angrily. My brother was wearing a silk navy shirt with some dark jeans and tennis shoes, his hair combed nearly as he flexed his jaw. My brother, like most normal wolves, was freakishly strong and tall, he stood at 6ft lanky yet muscular.
"Collin I'm sorry, Terra and Porter dragged me he-" he held his hand up signaling me to stop my yammering. "I don't wanna here it, I'm so kicking John and Bob's ass for not coming along at least, do you know that this is a territory free zone, meaning Any dangerous rogue can come and attack you, Hades and his pack could be here, he yelled infuriated at me. I flinched at the mass amount of hate I could feel radiating off of him.
"I'm sorry, I said biting my cheek to keep from crying. "Save it, Terra and Porter will be punished for leaving the territory without my permission, and what the hell are you wearing, he said scrunching his nose up in dissatisfaction.
I didn't think my outfit was so bad. I actually thought I looked great, for the first time since Lilith spat those nasty words at me, I felt like a somebody.
"I'm taking you home, I can't stand to see you look so, so, so clubby, he said shrugging his shoulders.
Grabbing my hand, he led me out of the club through the drunken bodies and passed out people. Through the corner of my eye, I spotted Terra making out with some blonde guy, and Porter getting a dance from one of the dancers.
