At 11, Yamaguchi finally woke up. He unplugged his phone and checked for messages, and when he saw nothing, decided to message Tsukishima.

Yamaguchi: morning Tsukki!!!

Tsukishima: Have you only just woke up?

Yamaguchi: Yep yep, you excited for your brothers game?

Tsukishima: Kind of. It'll be fun to see him play.

Yamaguchi: I bet he'll be awesome, because he's the ace, right??

Tsukishima: Yeah.

Tsukishima: Oh, he's just left. I think the game starts around 12, so I'll probably leave at half past so I can get there in time.

Yamaguchi: have fuuun!! Make sure you tell me how it goes, ok?? When does it end?

Tsukishima: I will. And it depends, there's no time limit.

Yamaguchi: ohhh yeah I forgot about that haha

Yamaguchi: hopefully it doesn't go on too long

Tsukishima: It probably won't. Maybe like two hours, at most.

Tsukishima: Also, shouldn't you go get breakfast?

Yamaguchi: probablyyy

Tsukishima: I'll message you after the game.

Yamaguchi: okk byeee

Yamaguchi changed out of pyjamas and walked downstairs,

"Mornninggg..." he yawned, serving himself some cereal. He sat down at the table, absentmindedly watching the TV. After he'd finished, he grabbed his volleyball and ran outside to practice some receives. Neither him nor Tsukishima were that good at them, so it wouldn't harm him to do some practice. He tried to remember the tips that the club had gave them, on using your knees more than your arms, and how getting it up is more important than anything else. He also remembered that he was outside, and the ball going into one of his neighbour's gardens wouldn't be that great. He managed to 5 in a row, till the last one skyrocketed upwards and landed on his head,

"Ow."

He picked the ball up from next to him, and headed back inside to get some water. As he drank, he checked his phone for the time, the game would've probably started by now. He wasn't sure whether to message Tsukishima or not, but assuming he was at the game, he decided against it. As he went to put his phone down so he could go back outside, his phone vibrated.

Tsukishima: I want to quit the volleyball team.

He stared in confusion at the message for a few minutes, what did he mean? Not knowing what was wrong, he told his mum that he was going out to see Tsukishima and ran out.

Yamaguchi stood outside of the gate to Tsukishima's house, completely out of breath. He pushed open the gate and knocked on the door, only to be greeted with silence.

"Tsukki? What did you mean by that message?"

He repeated himself, louder, knocking at the door as he did. Still no response. Maybe he was still at the game?

"Go away..Yamaguchi..." Tsukishima's voice came from behind the door. Yamaguchi tried to open the door to come in, and although it wasn't locked, it was being held shut from the other side of the door.

"Are you ok Tsukki? What happened?"

He let go of the handle, hoping that Tsukishima would let him in, but again he was greeted with silence.

"Tsukki?"

He heard Tsukishima sigh, but he still said nothing in response. Not wanting to make him angry by forcing open the door, he sat down outside the door.

"I don't mind if you don't let me in. I'll wait until you want to talk."

There was a quiet thud, and what sounded like another sigh. He knew he was probably being annoying, but he didn't know what was wrong, or how to help, so he just waited.

An hour passed and it was getting colder by the second, and in a quiet voice he called out for Tsukishima without thinking. The door he was leaning opened, and he fell backwards. Tsukishima pulled him up, and gave him a coat.

"Go home. I don't want to talk."

"B-But Tsukki, you'd feel better if you-"

"Shut up Yamaguchi."

Yamaguchi couldn't help it, his eyes filled with tears and he stepped backwards.

"Sorry..Tsukki.."

He dropped the coat Tsukishima had given him, and ran towards the gate, wiping away his tears as he did so. He heard the door slam, and for some reason he couldn't stop crying. Tears spilled out of eyes and it felt like they'd never stop.
