They were only half an hour late to the Christmas dinner. They had been quiet all the way, but it was a comforting quiet. Seungkwan had held Hansols hand, circling his thumb on the back of the others soft hand. When Hansol parked the car he didn't get out mediately, he just intertwines their fingers for what felt like the hundredth time that day, looked at the other and gave him a small smile. It was weak but it was honest. Seungkwan studied the appearance of the other, just like he had done the previous night before he fell asleep on Hansols back. His hair had been messed up while they were hugging, something that bothered the older. In order to fix it, Seungkwan leaned towards the younger and ruffled his hair lightly before giving him a wide grin. A grin Hansol could only try and memories as the most beautiful thing ever.
"Let's go, before they start opening presents without us," Seungkwan said happily as he opened the car door. Bringing all of the gifts they stood outside of the big house that was owned by the oldest of their friends and his boyfriend. Hansol rang the doorbell and took a step back, standing next to the other. Seungkwan took this as a chance to once again hold his hand, he just liked how perfect it was holding his own.
The door swung open and right in front of them stood a frantic looking male, his blond hair sticking up in all directions. "Oh my god you're alright, I was about to call the police but Jisoo told me not to but I really wanted to where the hell have you been I was so worried you could have called or at least texted me and why are you just standing there come in for fucks sake its cold" The male said in one long breath, first hugging the both before dragging them inside the big house. Hansol was about to explain why they were late before another voice interrupted him, coming from the dining room "Are they here?" a dark voice which they all recognized as Seungcheols asked only to be answered by another male "Who would he otherwise rant to about calling the police, you camel" The voice belonging to Chan said back his sentence laced with a mocking tone. Chan was the only one who could talk back to the older, since he basically had a free pass, being Seungcheols soulmate as they put it.
Both males took off their jackets and followed the previously panicked Jeonghan into the dining room. Said room was packed by all of their friends, chatting away excitedly. When they saw the two missing males they welcomed the loudly before becoming quiet all of them. They were all looking at one spot, that spot being Hansol and Seungkwans intervened fingers. Realising what everyone was staring at Seungkwan blushed furiously before dragging Hansol with him towards the table and sitting down together with the others.
The table was set as if the king would come. It was covered in a dark red tablecloth, silver candles and a small silver branch running over the whole centre. It was almost magical, and around it was their family. The people they loved the most. All having a good time, laughing, eating and having fun.
It took them almost three hours to finish the food and decide to migrate to the living room where they could open their gifts. The living room had a really high ceiling and had two couches in front of the big fireplace. In the right corner was a big Christmas tree, decorated with the prettiest ornaments anyone of them had ever seen. Jeonghan liked to be extra and loved the attention, therfore he had gone all in for this years Christmas gathering.
They had all split up into the couches, Seungkwan sitting next to Hansol. Seungcheol, of course, sitting next to Chan, holding his hand. On the other couch was Soonyoung with Jihoon on his lap, in order to take up as little space as possible. Next to the couple was Mingyu, their personal chef, on the floor in front of him was Wonwoo, leaning against the taller legs. At the furthest end of the second couch was Junhui and Minghao, both excitingly jumping up and down, spending their first Christmas together, and together with their friends was more than any of them could wish for. Next to them, on the arm of the couch, was Seokmin sitting taking pictures f the people in front of him. And lastly, Jeonghan and Jisoo were standing in front of the fireplace.
