"ehn come in na" the male teacher said slightly irritated.

I walked inside the class, my hands became sweaty and I almost farted because I was nervous. I found a seat at the front and made my way to the seat.

" sorry, someone's sitting here" a dark girl with an enormous shuku on her head said with a polite smile and I nodded.

"what's the meaning of that, faith" the teacher asked.

"i just told her someone was sitting there" the girl replied. I found another empty seat next to ebube who grinned at me. I smiled and sat down to listen to the lecture.

"okay were was I?. This is a new term, you're in ss3 now. You'll be having exams from all the corners of this world. So just keep on reading. If you like read, if you like don't read..its your own cup of tea" the man said.

"new student what's your name?" he asked.

"asake" I replied with a shaky smile.

"okay, I'm Mr Phillip.....Mr Phillip o....I am not uncle because I am not your uncle" he said laughing to him self. When he realized how dumb his 'joke' was he stopped laughing and faced the board.

He scribbled the words economics on the board.

"we're having revisions and mind you...tests will be commencing next week" he said facing the class.

"ohohhohh" the class groaned.

"Mr Phillip its okay" he was cut short by a student.

Just then a chubby fair girl ran inside the class with a big smile on her face.

"good morning sir" she said smiling at faith. The girl who had told me not to seat on a particular chair and this chubby girl was sitting on it.

"why are you just coming?" the teacher, Mr Phillip asked.

"something happened " she said.

"anyways prepare for tests, which topic would you like me to revise on?".

The class was too long and I couldn't wait to go home.  first day of school I'm already hearing test. Which kain wahala be dis sef.

"hi hi" ebube said next to me smiling awkwardly. "hey" I said then turned back to my notes.

"so it was our school you were coming to all along" he said standing up to my sit.

"ebube don start" a boy said walking towards us. "hi I'm john" he said.

"commot for here" ebube said.

"dont mind all these boys " john said and I gave a fake laugh.

"you dey whine me? " ebube said pushing him away.

"welcome to renics college" john said walking  away with ebube.

I turned to look at my cousins. Tobi was reading one of those comics he always had with him and adunni was talking to a fair guy who sat next to wale. See as her mouth is moving like type writer.

"fine girl" someone called and I turned to see faith smiling at me.

"im sorry for how I behaved earlier " she said with a smile.

"no problem" I smiled back.

"ehehn, you see that boy john that was talking to you. He's my boyfriend o.. I'm just telling you in case something happened and you'll be saying you didn't know" she said and I was taken aback.
