Hellooo I'm having huge writers block and can't be inspired, so this may be short. But anyway hope you enjoy this chapter!

Arthur's POV

It's been a few weeks since the contract and nothing new has happened. Except for the fact that Alfred and I were getting closer and closer by every day. We spend more time together and definitely talk more often. I feel myself falling in love with him even more by every passing day. But I doubt a demon can ever love a human.

Today is Monday and I haven't felt very good since last Friday. I tried hiding it from Alfred whenever he was around me(which was always). It was 4 in the morning and I've been up all night. I felt too nauseous and bad to go to sleep. I suddenly feel like puking so I quickly run to bathroom. I throw up everything that I have eaten for the past few days.

After a few minutes I sit by the toilet leaning against the wall. I breath in and out trying to catch my breath. I felt even worse than before and felt like puking more. I hear the door opening. I look up, my vision kind of blurry, because of my painful headache. "Artie? What are you doing in here? It's four in the... Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!" He immediately asked concern in his voice as he realized what was going on.

He immediately sits next to me and he puts his hand on my forehead. Almost immediately he takes his hand away. "You're burning up. Why didn't you tell me?" He asked wiping my mouth with a piece of toilet paper. "I'm fine. Don't worry. Let's go to bed. We have to stand up early for school," I stood up him doing the same. "No your not. You're not going anywhere," Alfred ordered not impressed by my lying. "I'm fi..." Just as I was about to finish my sentence the world around me turned pitch black as I passed out.

Alfred's POV

"I'm fi..." He argued, but the statement was proven false when he started to fall. I caught him just as he was about to hit the floor. You don't know when to stop, do you Arthur...

I carried him bridal style to the bed, where I gently covered him in blankets. I got a cloth as well as a bowl. I also get medication and pain killers for the massive headache. I sat down next to him on the bed and soak the cloth in the bowl of water. I squeezed out the water and put it on his forehead. I quickly check his temperature. 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit). I stare at the thermometer in shock. I put it down and sigh.

I quickly remembered something. He can't take a pain killer or any medication on an empty stomach. I quickly run downstairs, to the kitchen and got all the ingredients. I quickly make some chicken soup. When I was waiting for it to heat up, I check on Arthur only to see he's still sleeping and I soak the cloth again only to put it back on his now turning cold forehead. When the chicken soup was complete I poured it in two bowls for Arthur and I. I stored the leftovers in the fridge if we need any more.

When I returned I see Arthur whimpering and moving around, signaling he was having a nightmare. I put the bowls down on the bedside table and lightly shake Arthur. "Arthur it's only a dream don't worry," I assured him. He jumped up in bed and realized his surroundings. When he saw me he almost immediately backed away. He was about to fall off of the bed, before I caught him by wrapping my arms around his waist. He immediately pushed me away screaming,"Don't touch me demon!" I feel my heart shatter at the realization that Arthur is scared of me or is disgusted by me. "Arthur...Don't worry, I won't hurt you," I assured him and his tense shoulders got more relaxed.

"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry Alfred," he started to cry once he realized how rude he has just been. "It's alright. I'm fine. And don't worry you're safe as long as you are with me," I assured him as I sat on the bed next to him. Probably moody, because of the sickness or the dream. He cried silently to himself, so the logical thing(at least for me) was to hug him tightly, so that's exactly what I did. He seemed surprised at first, but soon hugged back. He cried into my chest as I rubbed circles on his back soothingly.

After a few minutes Arthur finally stopped crying and finally relaxed. "Alright so here is some chicken soup I made, because you can't have medication without food in you so eat at least a little bit of this and then I can give you medication," I explained handing him his bowl. I watched him eat him taking little bites. After a few minutes he put the food down and motioned towards the bucket. I handed it to him as he continued to throw up. I rubbed soothing circles on his back. He finally stopped after a few last coughs. "Uhh...Alright. I'm going to get some water and you should try to get some rest. I will bring you another bowl of soup so you can eat that," I explained unsure of what to do. He nodded and closed his eyes.

I quickly went and got a glass of water as well as another bowl of soup. I also wash the bucket out, somewhat disgusted by the action. I finally return to see Arthur was asleep. I sit next Arthur on the bed after placing the items where they belonged. I gently brushed the hair out of his face. He held onto my hand that was on his face. His forehead was still as hot as it was, but it cooled down a bit. A light pink dusted my cheeks.

A few hours later Arthur finally woke up. We tried eating the soup again, this time he ate it all and I was able to give him the medication. The medication made him drowsy so he slept it off. I sat next to Arthur, often checking his temperature (which was lowering bit by bit) as well as to see if he was comfortable and not having a nightmare again.

It was finally time to go to sleep. I brushed me hair, cleaned my glasses and brushed my teeth. When I returned to the room after I put my pajamas on. I see Arthur still sleeping silently in the bed. I called the teachers saying Arthur and I are going to absent also that I'll get the homework tomorrow. After I explained why they agreed to give us a week of, because they know how hard Arthur pushes himself.

I climb in bed next to him after checking his temperature. His temperature lowered a little bit, but it is still very feverish. I gently draped the blanket over both of us. "You should really start to learn when you should quit Artie," I whispered to him laughing a bit. "Shut up," I hear him mumble his voice barely above a whisper. I laugh slightly. "Yeah yeah." "Alfred...Thank you so much for taking care of me," He thanked me leaving me stunned. Arthur thanked me. "My pleasure. I am the hero after all," I replied smiling. "Good night Alfred," Arthur said as he cuddled closer to me. "Goodnight Arthur," I replied and held him close.

You will get in so much more trouble if you push yourself like that in any other situation. So then I promise...

I will protect and care for you...

A lot longer than expected. Anyway hope you enjoyed. The next chapter would be a Valentine special. Oh btw. I have a TikTok account, where I cosplay. My username is Prussialover. Till next time
