Finally, it's Saturday, the day that I meet up with Yoongi. First, though, I have work for a little while.

Since Yoongi is using his break time to be with me, I decide to be nice and make it as easy as possible for him.

me:
let's meet at starbucks
the one near your work

yoongi:
alright
is about 3:30pm fine?

me:
yeah
perfect actually
see you then

yoongi:
cya

Good, that gives me some time to get ready after work.

As soon as I arrived at the cafe, I decided to talk to my manager.

"Sir, could I please speak with you in private for a moment?" I ask him, gesturing to the empty staff room.

"Sure, what's wrong?" he asks with concern while walking by me towards the door. I wait to speak until the staff room door is shut behind us.

"Could you please change Kyo Seongsu's shift to the earlier time slot?" I inquire, prepared to beg.

"We just don't really get along, and it seems to hinder my work," I explain further, bending and stretching the truth just a little bit.

"Okay, will do. Normally, I'd just tell you two to patch it up, but you are one of my most loyal employees, so that changes it a bit," he graciously agrees with a nod.

"Thank you, Sir," I say with a bow before leaving the room to get to work.

I was so happy about that event that the time went by quickly, and soon enough, it was 3pm.

"You are dismissed for break, Chae Hyunju. I will begin training Seongsu," the manager informs politely.

"Alright. Good luck, Sir," I say, bowing before walking to the door.

"Good luck with your date, Hyunju," he replies with a small smirk. "I know the signs by now," he explains, referring to his wife. Apparently, they were best friends prior to liking each other. He would help her get ready for dates; I guess he quickly learned how to tell if she was excited for a date. They later ended up falling in love, and so on.

"Thank you," I say with a laugh, walking outside.

My apartment is only a couple of minutes from here, even by foot, and the Starbucks is only about 15 minutes away from my apartment. That gives me 10 minutes to get ready at home. That should be enough.

I walk faster than usual, getting me home even quicker than I usually do. Once I enter my apartment, I change clothes and put on some light makeup.

After I decide that I'm finished, I leave my apartment

After I decide that I'm finished, I leave my apartment. Checking the time on my phone, I see that I'm ahead of schedule by two minutes, surprisingly. Even so, I find myself nearly running to Starbucks, purely out of anticipation. As soon as the building is in sight, I see a pale figure walk in the door. That's him.

I quickly close the distance between myself and the door which I await to walk into. Before stepping inside, I take a deep breath. I push open the door, immediately searching around for Yoongi.

I quickly notice Yoongi waving me over to his table. I smile, walking over to him and sitting down across from him.

"So, you look pretty great," he says bluntly, causing me to blush quite a lot.

"T-Thanks," I stutter shyly. "You too."

We then order our drinks, receiving them soon after. I sip my drink, wincing at the bitterness.

"What's wrong?" Yoongi asks.

"It's really bitter," I mutter, my eyebrows furrowed slightly.

"Here, let me try," he suggests. I hand over my drink, at least expecting him to use his straw instead of mine, but nope. He takes a sip straight out of my straw. Even so, I don't have the heart to tell him not to; I'm not really much of an enforcer.

"This isn't too bad. My drink isn't as bitter. Wanna swap?" Yoongi kindly offers.

"Sure, if you don't mind," I reply gratefully.

He passes his drink over to me, keeping mine. As I stand up to get a new straw, he stops me.

"Where are you going?" He questions innocently with wide eyes.

"I was going to get a new straw," I trail off.

"It's okay, I promise I don't have the flu or anything," he says with a small laugh.

"Alright then," I submit, sitting back down.

I drink the coffee in between conversation, never letting go of the fact that his lips were on the same straw that mine are on. It causes me to wonder what his lips would feel like on mine... No, stop it, Hyunju.

I decide to pose a question in an attempt to escape my embarrassing thoughts.

"So, since I've told you when my shift is, tell me when yours is," I ask Yoongi.

"Actually, you only told me when your shift ends, not when it begins or even how many days you work each week," he counters.

"Fine, my shift starts at 11:30am and, as you know, ends at 7:30pm. I work six days each week," I respond.

"Okay, my shift changes for each day of the week, and I work seven days a week, because I am broke as hell," he says with a laugh. "But my boss is lenient because I work so much, so he pretty much allows me to go on break at whatever time I want, as long as it isn't too many times and as long as I tell him before I leave."

"Damn, that sounds nice," I mutter under my breath.

"Yeah, it is," he begins with a chuckle. "Is your boss not as easygoing?"

"It's not that he's harsh — he actually really seems to respect me as an employee — but he isn't necessarily the indulgent type. He allows for certain things here and there, but not all the time. He's really into his job, and a pretty serious businessman, but he's also kind," I clarify as well as I can.

"Ah, I see," he nods his head in understanding.

After a while of random conversations, he checks the time.

"Shoot, my break time is almost over," Yoongi says with a sigh.

"Oh, okay," I respond, attempting (yet failing) to hide my sad tone. "I don't have to go back to work for the rest of the day," I mumble, getting an idea.

"Do you have the same idea that I have?" Yoongi beams.

"I believe so."
